my target had almost all the bone breaker wave at $12.99. Maggot the only one i wanted to pick up today was still full price.
same Target i was at today had both male Thor’s discounted yesterday and both of them were gone today.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate the replies as I was told that the PO period for the 2-pack in my country was ending soon. I agree with many of you guys : this release of Terrax is so…lazy. If Hasbro doesn’t want to use a new buck, then at least give us alternate hands and do some modifications to the shoulders such as adding butterfly joints. The Fallen character…never took off for me because the Silver Surfer’s origin was more noble and even his subsequent betrayal of Galactus was also for noble reasons. The Hasbro team should have released Tyrant instead. That was a cooler and interesting character and the first being that Galactus created.
Some collectors I know have the same hands too. I’m not buying any blind box MLS…it’s too stressful for me too.
What's the issue I'm looking for there? Oh wait, I see, there's too much red on the chest. Sadly, that could have happened regardless, but yeah, I guess someone could have passed on that version in store (assuming they found him instore like that).
This is an issue that could have happened regardless of it being a blind box or not. Sure if they bought it at retail they could have passed on it... had they noticed it. This is why I open these new packages as soon as I buy them if I get them in store. Done it right at customer service. If they bought it online then you're buying blind no matter the package style.
I was never a fan of the multi-winged Archangel. It looked silly. Probably because it would always remind me of that Steven Wright joke in which he asks "If a bird dies and becomes an angel does it have four wings?"
If Hasbro wanted to go plastic-free they had this option to give their customers the chance to inspect their product, but no, it had to be surprise boxes and everyone is paranoid on what they might get.
Yeah but then Hasbro would be worried they'd get ripped off by people stealing the figures out of the box and Hasbro wants to be the only one ripping people off.
A lot of the QA issues are coming through purchases on Amazon or the Hasbro store - You'd still have had issues with the QA on them and have to return even if they had a window. The important thing people need to keep in mind now is that these things change, but how you deal with them needs to change too. Many of us still feel bad about opening up a box to inspect a figure... It would have been frowned upon tearing blister cards open in stores.. but that behaviour is as much of a relic of the past as the plastic boxes are. Opening the figure to inspect it first now NEEDS to just become part of the default expected behaviour when buying a figure. Don't be scared! So think of it less as "Now we can't see the item" and more "Now we can inspect the paint and joints before buying".
Makes sense. My wife will open up boxes for other products to ensure there aren’t scratches, blemishes, etc (can’t remember what those are at the moment of course). The weird thing is that any of us will drop $1000 on a new cell phone, $500 on a game console, $1500 on a TV, $500-1000 on speaker systems- all in closed boxes - but we get bent out of shape about a $25 toy. I get the difficulty in change and even I feel that the toys feel cheaper somehow for being packaged in this way (TF with a window but no plastic), but it’s no different than vintage SW and GIJoe vehicles coming in a box. We never mind then and we shouldn’t know. The QC is a real issue of course but not the fault of the packaging.
