I’m just glad that there’s a wave of marvel legends that I can safely skip.

Im kinda surprised that the BAF for the Eternal Wave isn’t like a Classic Ultron or something to move the figures.

I think people would riot. Ultron's not big enough to be a baf honestly. Plus the figure they showed off this past Friday for Ultron looks to be a regular release.

I dunno, Black Panther himself looked awesome to me (as did Killmonger) and three of the others were comic wave figures (like Laser_Optimus said, if there were comic versions of the Eternals or even just an Avengers Sersi or something, I'd bite on those).

But you're right, if the movie is awesome this wave becomes more desirable. But right now it's just looking like the Inhumans tv show designs to me. Man if a wave like that would have come out I would've regretted preordering so badly after the show came out.

Whew! Glad the Eternals BAF wasn't a Celestial - that would have made me want to get the whole set, now I can safely skip!

Ultron was an example, I’ve finished several waves over a BAF when I only Wanted two or three of that wave.

Yeah, classic comic designs would be instant buys.

Neither is Gilgamesh from what I can see.

I was referring to the M'BAKU wave, I didn't realize there were two Black Panther waves (this was before I started collecting). And I was saying Eternals is like that wave if you took out Black Panther.

Yeah, but Hasbro likes to play that off with the movie designs with the whole "it's the only way we could cost out the unique tooling with no reuse, blah, blah, blah, because we're sometimes cheap as fuck" schpeel. That's been their excuse every time they've done a normal-sized movie baf since GotG 2's Mantis baf.

Yeah, once it was a success they absolutely milked the movie with that second wave. Which I think sat on shelves for a while.

I saw the new Jean Grey figure and was interested in getting her, were there any other recent original deco X-Men figures made or is that it?

Will wait and see if I like the Eternals movie or not before jumping in with the new Legends. Not all movie designs make for appealing figures.
Yup plus making a wave full of figures no one wants while turning a long awaited, normal sized figure into a BAF is a dick move that Hasbro seemingly put to rest(at least hopefully).

I didn’t even think MCU Ultron was physically big enough to justify being a BAF and by popularity alone it would’ve sold on its own....had it not been for it’s barely useable hip articulation(and what a disappointment that was buying the entire Antman wave only to find that out).

She's getting a release only because she is currently wearing the Marvel Girl costume in the comics. So in that respect it's a one-off (for now).

There's a fan theory why Jean Grey is still in her Marvel Girl/go-go dancer outfit:

    Semi-spoiler:
X-Men Theory: This Isn't The REAL Jean Grey At All

"Can I interest you in a Krakoa flower? It will enhance, er, extend... your abilities to buy Marvel Legends for another five years!"

They made a crappy box set of the original members a couple years ago. TRU exclusive.
They were all horrible though and had some of the most atrocious paint Hasbro ever crapped out.
