Is Gwen Stacy the secret leader of the Sinister Six in your collection?
Kinda love this
It's not a secret anymore
been screaming this for forever, get the rest of Venom's kids out there darnit
My B&N still only has Blizzard and Thundra for Marvel Legends.
looks like micheal ironside in total recall
No, I just stuffed her up there. I've made no room for normies, on that shelf.
I'm gonna give him the vest from the 80th figure
My First completed Custom Figure!
I really like Him! Gonna try some different hands and see if any open ones look right.
I can give him the rolled up Bugle Paper that comes with the Gwen/MJ.
Parker, I need pictures of that Blasted Spider-Man!!
I know they just showed up in the comics, but I hope we get Virus, Codex, and Knull at some point in these Venom waves. My big wants in the reveals are Andrea Benton and Carnage’s latest look.
At the very least I want Knull. I really enjoyed the Silver Surfer Black story. Speaking of new characters/designs... I really want Thor in his most recent costume too. That's pretty badass.
I think I might be reaching a Marvel Legends burnout point - it happens periodically with any collection, especially when there's a high influx of product.
Got Gwen yesterday - immediately put her on the shelf.
Got Gobby today - immediately put him MOC on the wall.
Saw War Machine at Target - put him in my handcart, thought about it, ultimately put him back on the shelf, and walked away.
Spider-man & Electro arrive tomorrow and will join Gobby on the wall.
To be fair, I have WM on pre-order at Pulse so it's not like I'm saying no permanently - just feeling a little like I'm buying figures to complete certain displays and/or teams and not because I truly have to have them at current.
Conversely, I am enjoying the heck out of the crazier looking Fortnite figures (a game/property that I know nothing about). So maybe it's just a shift in focus. Definitely feels a little like burnout, though.
I am actually close to that feeling also. I really want x force and xfactor to be complete though so those may be the ones i hold out for. To be honest the mxfarlane line is showing so much potential and there reveals of new stuff is actually more enticing to me than legends things. And now that gi joe has returned....i wasnt gonna go all in on joe and just cherry pick but dang it if every time I see one I feel the urge to get it. I was heavy into joes as a kid so they pull the old nostalgia chord more than a lot of other stuff now. I have amassed a large(ish) lot of fortnite stuff just because we have a ross nearby and my wife loves to shop there. Everytime I am in there I find a figure it feels like. I have never even played the game at all.
They have Fortnite at Ross?
Nice - going to go check out mine tomorrow (usually not well stocked, though).
I feel the same way about the 90s X-teams. I want them all completed because that's my sweet spot as far as Marvel nostalgia goes. They really haven't started on Excalibur yet, though. So I feel like I'll still be hanging in there a little bit for the next few years. My Spider-man collection is pretty much completed short of an official J.J. and any TAS versions that they want to release.
I just wish ML collecting felt less like an obligation to complete and a mad rush to acquire new product as soon as possible to avoid a sellout and more about, "Hey - this looks cool, and I really want to fiddle with it for the next week or ten."
with Agents of SHIELD wrapping up last night, I'm sorta sad we'll (probably) never get any toys from the show like Quake, or Ghost Rider, or even Mac with his shotgun-axe...
If history has taught us anything though, toys of cancelled series can (and do) still come out, even years after cancellation.
Not surprising really, everyone has their sweet spot that the really want, then it’s the characters you kinda like, and finally it’s the ones you only get to complete a team or a BAF and don’t personally care anything about.
For me the ones I want are the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s versions of characters, and honestly, I really only want the X-men for 90’s stuff.
My absolute sweet spot is the classic late 70’s to late 80’s Marvel.
Unless it’s got a must have BAF, I have absolutely no interest in X-men in any of the costumes of the last two decades, I don’t really need any more MCU figures besides a fat final battle Thor.
What I Want going forward, is classic Kang, Classic Ultron, some of the Classic Villains like the Red Ghost and his Apes, Diablo, Chemistro.
I’m not quite burnt out...but I’m glad the last few waves haven’t had much I’ve been terribly interested in...needed a break, honestly. I have Apocalypse, Kingpin and that Groot set on PO, and I already have most of the other figures I want. I’ll wait for a rerelease of some form of 90’s toon Rogue (fingers crossed) and will probably wait for GOTG3 to get Gamora and Nebula...though it would be nice to complete that Mantis BAF... Who knows, maybe they’ll have a standard release of Mantis at the same time.
Count me down for the burnout. Im thinking about canceling most everything but the deluxes.
