The funny thing is that in the Unicron thread there were people complaining that Unicron is overpriced compared to the Sentinel and here I see people complaining that the Sentinel is overpriced compared to Unicron.
Personally I think this figure looks really cool, and I really wish Hasbro had used the same fingers and wrist articulation for Unicron, but I've got the feelings that despite this having 70+ points of articulation the actual range might be a bit limited, like they were focusing more on a clean sculpt than dynamic posing. Let's see if I'll be proven wrong once we'll see more pictures and videos of the Sentinel in action.
I'm not a huge Marvel fan so I'm skipping this, but I'll keep an eye on the campaign to see how Hasbro will handle it, especially regarding international orders.
One thing I have to say, though, with numbers like these a future Haslab Galactus seems a definitive no brainer.

If one of those stretch goals is an alternate Master Mold head I’m definitely throwing my hat in the ring.

As an X-Man fan, I need to back this, as a conservative living on a budget collector, I have no idea when I can bite the bullet to pre-order damn it. 2020 has been a shit year, way too many pre-orders, way too much coming out all at once because of delays hitting the wallet harder and on top of all that I lost my dad. Can we get past this year already and just survive into the next decade. Please and thank you.

(Still plots the acquisition of the Sentinel, but must work around bills and things.)

It has been a tough year. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Stay strong and I hope you are able to get a Sentinel.

I want the sentinel, but I don’t know if I can justify that cost. I think $200 would have been a high price, but manageable. I may still get it, just have to think about it. I had the Toy Biz one and the 4” scaled one, but I do prefer the proportions and styling of this new one.

Just did some math -- the Sentinel is 66.54 times the size of a typical 6.5" ML figure. A typical 4 ounce ML figure would weigh 16.635 pounds.

The only thing I'm trying to figure out is if that Sentinel is too big. What I mean is that the Sentinels never seemed to be that big in the comics, at least the ones I have read.

Like there were a few panels in Days of Future Past where Trask and the scientist dude were up to their thighs.

almost 5600 backed, not bad for a little under 24 hrs after announcement...

it will be somewhat anticlimactic after today though, when presumably it will pass the magic number of 6000, and the next 44 days become a long slog to "will we get to 9000 to see all the extra goodies??"

The page said that this is based on the modern sentinnel design, which are bigger than the old ones

I'm DEAD, this is so beyond accurate

i know right, sheesh just shunning them and us like that

i can imagine had they priced this at closer to $250 (which takes into account the $20 ML fig) they would've destroyed almost any gola they wanted, i'm shocked that at $325-330 there's enough desire for this, makes you wonder how many of these buyers are just looking to recoup funds by selling off Bastion for $100 on ebay next yr.

Even almost at the minimum funding goal a ton of people are holding out to see what else it there. I think revealing each “extra” at the level before (or the 7k goal is revealed at 6k) would make things go faster. I also suspect this isn’t super shocking to them or they wouldn’t have set the stretch goals where they did.
