No point in saying anything more at this point. They have already secured over a million dollars in less than a day so people are obviously willing to pay this outrageous price and keep rewarding Hasbro for milking us. I'm still buying their MLs and Star Wars stuff but I have more than I need already and I definitely wait for most of it to go on clearance anyways so I know I'm full of shit based on the fact they own the license to my two favorite franchises but I am pretty close to just being done with Hasbro.

Keep in mind parts count. Sentinel has a whopping 70 points of articulation. While yes, technically he isn't as complex as Fort Max when it comes down to it, but Sentinel is made of a hell of a lot more parts.' I'm sure a portion of the price is a Haslab markup but I can see the parts count factoring into this as well.

As cool as a giant Sentinel is, it's the kind of derpy Sentinel design I'm not too fond of. Easy skip for me .

Okay, more for the rest of us.

This isn’t food, water, or shelter, toys are pretty much THE do without, disposable income purchase. They can’t “MILK” is for something that we don’t actually NEED.
If it’s too expensive or something that you don’t personally want, don’t get one.

If you weren’t interested in getting one, then you wouldn’t be so angry with not being able to afford one.

Nah, I'm sure @Slave IV can afford it... from what I've read of his posts it's more of a perceived value issue with the price. Which of course is a subjective opinion that will differ from person to person.

    Thanks bro! I never said I couldn't afford one. I said it's basically a fucking ripoff! :p
Anyways, like I said, I know I'm full of shit because I backed all the other HasLab so far and I just got a $20 brick figure in the mail from them today (Carbonite Han) and was thinking how I'm glad I have two since I want to keep one in the box.

As for the parts count, we know this is around 260 pieces. Do we know how many parts are on a figure like Fort Max? None of this really matters because it already is what it is but just curious now.

Maybe I’ve just come to expect insane toy prices, but I was a little surprised this was only $350.

This looks great! Just not $350 great. That size? Electronics? 1 normal size marvel legend? Am I missing something? Looks like maybe $250 at best. Hope those that are willing to pay that much love him (that’s not sarcasm)

Well those large vinyl Star Wars toys were 2 feet tall and cost $20 so there's some room between that and $350. I hope they do few colors at 6 inches down the road for a Konami XMen display.

My biggest concern, how in the blue hell am I going to display this? I’ll have to re-evaluate how much real estate ML gets in the collection.

So it's at 4000 now, I think it's no longer a bet if it's getting backed, I think it's a bet on how fast can it reach 6000. A couple of hours, a day or even a week? And can it reach 9000?

Yeah, just saw that a couple of minutes ago. This is going to happen no questions. I'm actually surprised by how quickly it's reached that number... I thought it would at least take the better part of the time frame.

My Marvel Legends fandom is limited to a Marvel Legends thread within a Transformers thread... :p  (and I'll peep over in Toyark once in a while)... but I saw on a YouTube Transformers channel mention how much insanely larger the Marvel Legends collecting community is on like Facebook, Twitter, Discord, etc. and active compared to Transformers (don't know how accurate that is) so it's not really surprising?

How dare they decide to see if people are interested in something!!

It's not bullshit if people are willing to pay it.

$350 seems high for the sentinel; $250 seems more reasonable. I know it’s big but it’s still a big marvel legends figure. If it was Mastermold and it came with a smaller sentinel figure it would make it more enticing.

Question, is the number per unit sold or per individual backer? If it is the former, I can see people buying multiples for army building, so that may have been what has shot it up so fast. Logically I am thinking per unit sold, but knowing Hasbro who knows. I have never crowdfunded anything so I don’t know the logistics of it all.

Yeah, let's make it a WalMart exclusive where only three out of seven stores decide to carry it and they only get in two to five figures!
But don't worry, you can always order online and have that canceled a few months after the stores nearest, you three counties, over have sold their lot. And that's because the scalpers get them first and then you'll be paying three times the retail mark-up through eBay!

    Yeah, let's make it happen!

This figure is $350. Basic Marvel Legends are $20 a piece. That's 17.5 six inches figures versus one twenty-six inch figure limited in production exclusively to this campaign.

By material volume, I suspect you're coming out close to even at basic retail let alone some convention exclusive.

Bitch all you want but considering you used to get a six inch figure, a display piece and a reissued comic for less than twelve bucks, you've only yourselves to blame for prices you feel are outrageous these days. Because you're all still buying a lot less for a lot more.

Each individual figure ordered is represented by the current count. And, yes, there are troop builder and opportunist purchases being made to help bolster the numbers.

    For example:

It's way too expensive but how the hell is this a scam in any way? If only this was how they did every figure, all 4 people who want Serpent Society can get them and the rest of that plastic can go towards surplus of figures everyone actually wants. The Haslab shit is a way for Hasbro to take gambles without actually gambling.

Yeah I bitch but I also try to back it up by not supporting the regular figures at $20 a pop...I almost always wait for them to go on sale for 20% off or preferably much more. And I was paying less than $8 (before tax) for those old figures with comics and stands/display pieces...
Like I said, I bitch but I am basically Hasbro's bitch by extension of being Disney's bitch ever since they bought Lucasfilm and Marvel and I had kids on top of all that. They fucking own me! LOL!
