Interview with the Marvel Legends Team Post Toy Fair 2020 - The Toyark - News
Interesting. That point about storyboarding during the "early" Marvel Studios days, I wonder if that was a Perlmutter thing to include the toy side at that time, since Marvel Studios was under his control at that point.
Only 60% revealed at Toyfair is good news. Getting Skullbuster last year made me excited about getting some obscure x-men villains and characters in that vein. Hopes were kind of dashed at TF. Even main X villains like the rest of the Brotherhood were missing which made no sense after the incredible 2019 Legends year.
I hope they all suck.
Depends on what you like I guess. We don't know what it is at this point so, we'll see.
I don't collect MCU so it makes it easier for me I suppose. Getting both comic and MCU would be challenging.
I also have pretty much completely stopped with Transformers so, again, makes things easier for me.
We already have nice line up of famous X-Men villains:
- Magneto (2 versions)
- Juggernaut (2 versions)
- Omega Red
- Silver Samurai
- Wendigo (BAF)
- Apocalypse (BAF)
- Onslaught (BAF)
- Sauron (BAF)
They showed up at every retail store here and LCS. Sat for months. Same with online retailers. They all seemed to have a hard time selling them as they were constantly on discount online. Amazon, EE, and BBTS I remember them being quite cheap numerous times.
Found Doom! This guy definitely feels superb, but I haven’t had a chance to fully mess with him.
Too much stuff, this year. At some point, i gotta draw the line.
Turns out the ebay seller used USPS Parcel Select Ground for Venom.
Looked it up delivery can take anywhere from 2-8 days.
Still in transit to next facility as of yesterday.
Venom is in Rhode Island.
Should be going out for delivery today.
Yesh, the heck is up with Target and Red Hulk? I happened to be up late tonight catching up on some streaming and around 3 am my time I get a message via my Target ap that it's back in stock. Immediately head over and... it was already gone. Like within seconds of supposedly being in stock. WTF?!
My Red Hulk has just shipped out from Robotkingdom. It’s no to know that some people actually Want my money.
Really wish that the stores over here would act like they care.
Same here. Toy Fair was a huge bust for me this year.
After 2019 I'm left scratching my head. Hopefully they redeem themselves with that 40%.
I was mistaken.
The only thing out for delivery today is Neca Slash.
Strange thing is tracking said Venom departed the facility around 4:30 am then again at 6:30am.
Similar issue with Batman.
Trying not to let this alter my mood.
Well, really, what is left? They have released most if not all of the top tier characters in their classic looks.
There might be a few niche costume designs, or niche characters.
I kind of have a concern with Marvel Legends going forward for that very reason. They've almost done it all IMHO, and have done it at such a high level I'm not sure it can be topped unless some new action-figure production technology really changes the game. Otherwise, what its the point of getting another version of the same design? Can they make that same type of jump from the old Toybiz to modern Marvel Legends?
X-men and Fantastic Four Movies can't come soon enough for them...
Pinless versions might be their next thing. The figures do look better when you can't see the pins in their arms and legs. I'm already annoyed that they are specifically releasing a new Spider-man that isn't pinless, so they can sell us a pinless version in a couple years.
