just like with toybiz storms i'll get both, i ilke both looks. Cuckoos look good but i would have liked their white costumes vs the school girl outfit
Storm looks good, and so do the Cuckoos but yeah that's going to suck getting them from Walgreens if it's anything like Emma/Dani have been for most everyone (and even earlier recent figures have been for others).
i thought the outfit would be more silver rather than black but I guess they could do yet another variant
I'm not going to go out of my way to get the Stepfords. The world didn't end when I couldn't score 3x Dani's for retail before I completely lost interest lol. I want that variant Storm, but she goes in the middle of my want list. I'm totally cool with the first one that came out.
I think @nathan_s82 still has three Dani's if you need them. Check with him first though. Honestly I'm more excited by the Stepford sisters mainly because I have no idea who they are. If so many of you are skipping them, hopefully it'll mean they'll be much easier to get, haha!
Hard pass for me too. If they were a little more anime or a little less church, I might've put different heads on the bodies.
I'm also willing to get both versions. The White/Yellow version is the one that most of us are familiar with, however the Black/Gold has more contrast. So it's EB Games for those in Canada that want the Black Suited Storm.
I just want A Storm...not quite sure which one now, though. I only saw the white retro Storm in-store once and didn’t pick her up...haven’t seen her since. This new one probably won’t be any easier...lol...
The new one should be easy to get since it's an online channel exclusive? Think they might box her up and charge $24.99 msrp like 80th Deadpool though.
Correct Black suit vintage Storm is a fan channel exclusive, so for any body in the U.S (I don't know how they're distributed in other markets) should have a fairly easy chance of picking one up online.
If you wanted White Storm, she was popping up on Amazon for about $17 randomly every so often. Last time was two days ago.
Surprisingly not a fan of the new Storm despite loving the original toy biz version. And 3 SCs, ugh guess this is the Hasbro new moneymaker strategy.
I’ll keep stalking Amazon and the like! I think I’d prefer the white one since I’m trying to assemble a 90’s toon cast.
Update from Marvel Toy News regarding release: The shared Exclusive Marvel Legends Black Costume Storm Retro Series figure goes up for order on Monday, and is scheduled to ship out in Spring 2020. It should be available via BBTS, EE, Hasbro Pulse, and the other usual suspects. The Walgreens Stepford Cuckoos are also set for Spring 2020, but are unlikely to go up for sale until they are physically in the warehouses next year. I imagine they’re going to sell spectacularly, given the three heads for customizing purposes (plus the Cerebro helmet and extra fists).
I would have been more excited for Storm if: 1. She had been in the classic costume, including the headdress/cowl. or 2. She had a giant lightning bolt deco'ed on her torso. Good to know that I've got a few months or mull over purchasing her not because my initial thought was, "Meh."
