Finally snagged 80th Thor. Seems like comic book shops and brick and mortar toy stores have replenished 80th Thor (no 80th cap and IM). And the comic shops carried 80th Wolvy-Hulk.
I knew the Magneto 3-pack would skyrocket once it (eventually) sold out. I expect most of the sales at $40 were people that expected to flip it for $100 like I predicted.
Heads up the Fantastic 4 wave is starting to ship out of China. Hasbro Inc., 16047 Mountain Avenue, Chino, CA 91708, USA | Buyer Report — Panjiva
How accurately do you think you could track the total number of cases of a given wave that enter the country? Could be an interesting academic exercise.
Movie version painted head sculpts for both Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield (presumably third parties) which a local seller is selling. Reckoned that Hasbro won't be backtracking on these 2 & therefore I'm contemplating getting both just to fill up the void for my movie verse Spider-Man collection. Just realised that there was a head sculpt available for Don Cheadle as well.
While it's doable, it would be very time consuming. You would also have to account for who the shipper is. Sometimes Hasbro depending on the shipper, list the figures as individual as pieces and the cases as cartons. In this situation though they're listing the cases as pieces. On top of that you would have to find someone who either already has a company account with Panjiva or willing to pay the $300 to $700 paywall for an account to get all the info you're looking for. As for the largest shipment I have ever saw of any single Hasbro product. Recently a company (Coughs probably Walmart) imported 27,000 cartons of Cyberverse 1 step changers....
Shameless plug. Come and get 'em if you're interested. I'd rather they go to good homes than stored in a tote: HASBRO Marvel Legends Collection For Sale OR Trade
Hope they got a lot of the JP Brachiosaurus because I'm going to jump on that thing on Black Friday weekend.
Oh man, if that Tobey head were able to fit on the SM2 Super-poseable figure, I would buy the shit out of it.
Obviously I have no idea, but as a ballpark I'd guess at the very least double that, 40K minimum. Masters of the Universe Classics (MOTUC) was an online only toyline and they weren't selling enough to make a jump back to retail from Mattels own website, which thanks to an accidentally leaked document was ~10K a figure in it's first year. Toys R Us took a chance with their DC vs MOTU 2-packs, which was rumored at a 12K run. Given that ML is a line that gets to multiple brick and mortar international chains, online vendors, etc. I'd fully expect anywhere from 60-80K as a normal run.
Still no 3 Packs in NJ (the Jean Grey one.......though I haven’t seen the Magneto one in the wild around where I live either)
