Found a straight eyed Elektra. Finally. I wish them ho's would've used a left trigger fingered hand. Was a massive pain to get him to hold his bow.
So my continuing quest NOT to go completist on the MCU takes another battering...... This is becoming a habit.
Which is really hurting them in the long run. I kind of wish I had the money to just buy every Spider-Man and X-Men my Target has and return them to a store not near me just so my Target could get some new fucking product in.
My Target is so busy that they're always cleaned out. People cop them up as soon as they are put on the shelf Only like 5 of the same figure nobody wants is left. I hate the retail crapshoot.
Walmart has the Warlock X-Men wave mixed under the Avengers. No ones going to buy that Roller Disco Dazzler. Please clearance it.
You would think that, after a while, a manager would notice how none of that product is moving and just give it its own clearance price. The one Target I was to in June still had something like 8 Misty Knights on the shelf which, Jesus Christ, is a 4 year old figure!
I never bought it. I’d say Cyclops but, there’s a lot I dislike. My Dazzler comes out in August. I opened mine to steal the T’Challa head. Even though I hate that suit, the purple looks great when the light hits it.
Thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind. There's still 3 or 4 more WGs here in Huntsville I wanna check first.
Not even close. She was hands down my least favorite. The others had either a superior design or at least had useful parts for customs. Disco Dazzler had none of those. Even boring Sunfire at least filled a hole in a traditional X-Men collection. There is no reason for that disco deco to have ever been part of an X-Men wave, as she wasn't part of the team when she wore that awful tracksuit. The bellbottoms, that hair. *cringe a la Sideshow Bob* I'm with @Scourgatron . My Alison will be arriving this summer. Heck, I'll probably buy two, as I want to make one without the jacket or headband as well, since most of her time in the outback she was just blue.
I applaud Hasbro for making accurate representation of MCU figs. They even replicated Brie Larson's butt in toy form... Very Accurate Indeed
My local Wal-Mart doesn't tend to have shelfwarmers perse, because they don't flood the shelves. They only put out maybe a case or two of product at once, which gives things a bit of room to breathe and sell through, instead of creating that perpetuating effect where customers see a pile of a single item on the shelf and get the impression that it's undesirable. Even with that fairly decent history, they're still sitting on five Misty Knights, last I checked, that have never been put on clearance.
Yeah it seemed Starlin really didn't like Quasar - maybe it was because during the time he had taken over as Protector of the Universe? Who knows, but he was similarly unceremoniously dispatched in IW after a build-up where he'd use the Ultimate Nullifier on Magus, only for Magus to wipe him away. It must have been hell for the Quasar writers, I think they had to bring him back from the dead 3x during the period leading up to and during the Infinity Trilogy. Ah ok in that sense you do have a point, I think the last significant storyline after was the Heralds/Morg arc, so yes Surfer did have more impactful stories before and during the Infinity Trilogy then went nowhere fast soon after. I do remember Ron Lim being on and off the title soon after the Trilogy (maybe a case of being too overworked?) and Surfer without him at his A-game back then really hurt the title for me. Speaking of that Morg arc, I wonder if we'll ever get more figures from the older Cosmic Marvel era. I'd love to see more heralds like Firelord and Nova (Frankie Raye), and key characters like a classic Adam Warlock, or even classic Drax in addition to guys like Mar-Vell.
