I honestly don't know what wave to get into. There's too much. My main wants are Sauron and Monster Venom. The Apocalypse wave is superb too. The only individual figures I'm pining for are Sabertooth, Tiger Wolverine, X23 Wolverine, Scream, Magneto, Ronan MCU, Doc Ock and Scarlet Spider. As you can see it's a complete mixture of each wave. That puts me in a rough position. I'll try to piece together Monster Venom, but I might just buy the set of 6 for Sauron just to get him done with. Crazy line up for late summer/fall.
The closest I've come to wanting a whole wave was the Black Panther movie wave from earlier this year and the Ragnarok wave from last year. Namor, Ares, and Loki were the only ones I didn't want. So buying cases never would work for me.
Out here, it's usually literally one figure holding everything up. One Kitty, one Iceman, one Havok, one Namor, one Tombstone, one Polaris, etc. I've been trying to sell a Cyclops too but you know the story, $70+ alone on Amazon but can't get retail for it with a second figure included. I should bump the price up and "forget" to mention the other figure(s).
X-men wave dropped into Loot for me at BBTS ... How can I tell which Psyloche I'm going to get? Purple hair or Black hair?
I find it so much easier to sell on FB. I'm gonna probably skip tiger Wolverine and track down the vintage.
Interesting that the break flaps are hinged into the figure rather than a backpack or something, but the head is a bit disappointing. The older armors have ball-hinge necks and even they aren't great. This one sounds like it's either the same or just a single ball. I love the ankle tilts though, that's a huge hindrance on the Iron Man 3 suits. Amazon still says mine will be here on the third of August. Also, from a few other YouTubers who have gotten the MS10 sets early: Ant-Man is actually the same mold as the original Ant-Man movie figure with the open mouth. The torso just has more texture and more accurate paint (also his butt isn't as glossy...) Thor's hammer is a very swirly silver plastic, moreso than any hammer I can recall using this mold.
I saw that review. I didn't know Mark III and Mark IV were either not made or not in the right scale. Those are my favorite armors, I would LOVE to get either one of those redone at some point
I knek they existed but I didn't realize they were smaller. So that does give them an excuse to redo the Marks II-VI that I would happily indulge them in. I think I'm gonna hold out for the SHF Mark VI and then call it a life for Iron Men. Maybe the new comic book armor too.
For those of you who collect MCU, what are you using as your Hulk? I really want the Figma now that I've watched a couple reviews for it, but it isn't around anymore. I guess the Select is the next best thing, but on eBay they're all from China, so I guess they're probably KOs. Some of them come with (presumably also KO) versions of Black Widow or Banner that are kind of entertaining though. I will say that the Figuarts Hulk looks too gappy for my tastes.
How important is posability? The Figma is ... well can be very fiddly. The Selects look great, but have limited articulation. If you want a Hulk for action posing.... figuarts is where its at. I'd say wait a few months, Mezco has a Hulk to release and Figuarts has a IW Hulk coming. If you want to try the selects and avoid the bootlegs, Amazon's a good place to look.
Wait, they weren't? Wasn't the Wal-Mart exclusive with the unmasked head a Mark IV? To be honest, I still use the Wal-Mart exclusive one from the first Avengers.
Are all Walmarts getting the Ant Man and the Wasp display? I went to two today and they didn't have any.
Thanks If you count the Marvel Universe Sentinels as 3.75" figures then yeah. All of the X-Men figures are 6" scale Marvel Legends except for Colossus which is a Marvel Select.
