Well, yeah, the store wide clearance doesn't care how new or old the merchandise is. They're just trying to clear as much as they can before they close.
I get that part. Just that it didn't seem like they were going to get the newer sets like that and also most things have only been 10% off. I guess I'll go back and check again now.
Seeing IW tomorrow. Normally I have a preference of waiting a week or two before going, because I can't stand packed theaters. But nuts to that, no way am I waiting for this one. Plus the fact theres assholes all over the net posting spoilers, including dickhead Youtubers going as far as uploading clips of the freaking ending(gotta them clicks and that sweet, sweet ad revenue right?). Scumbags all. Also, I'm wondering do you guys use flight stands for displaying your flying MLs? Any good recommendations? BBTS has these Tamashii Stage 4 kits that look decent in videos. I wanna get something for my Songbird. Great fig, but doesn't lend itself well to ground posing due to no alternate non-flying hands and of course the energy bird flight effect piece. I mean I could pose her looking like she's performing karate, but yeah...no
Grabbed Deadpool from the new wave. I like it better than the 2016 one since it has the butterfly pec hinges. You can pose it grabbing swords from the scabbards. The brighter red and new web gear with crossed scabbards is cool too. Seems like the figure itself is either a completely different buck than the 2016 Deadpool or almost entirely different. I really wish the IW Cap was based on finalized concept art. He has longer hair in the movie and 2 arm shields which looked completely different from the actual figure. The figure is based on early concepts/control art which had cap with shorter hair and a beard. So an all new head sculpt, gloved right hand and 2 accurate arm shields would make for a much more enticing figure. Wish the control art was held off from completion until all of the costume designs were finalized. The ML IW Cap looks like post-Civil War Cap while in hiding before growing his hair out yet growing a beard.
Yeah, that Tamashii stage act 4 are the best ~6" figure stands. I get similar stands that come with other figures that I also use but those are the only one I buy separately for that size action figure.
I finally found where my Target had their 12" Black Suit Spider-Mans so I decided to grab one. I don't have the space to collect these guys, but for $20 I'm happy to have at least one. He's pretty cool, too!
Yes, the Tamashii stage 4 stands are the only stands I buy for my 6" collection of figures anymore. One pack gets you three stands with a variety of display options. About the only thing I wish Bandai included was a suction cup base. But you can't go wrong with these stands. They certainly won't crack and snap and fall after six months like those NECA stands I bought last year did.
I finally got the Playmotion Ultron today. I think it is the best sculpt and size available for a 6" collection. Been wanting it for what seems like years now. Saw it for $2.50 so the deal was done.
Having seen the movie I now want everyone. I own zero marvel legends figures. What are my chances of finding some of the older figures like dr. Strange?
