Can somebody with any or all of the encore minibots take some side-by-side comparison shots with there G1 counterparts?

 

I have found one of my Grail pieces.

I bought him in a lot on eBay.

I am pretty sure the seller did not know what he had.

I let him know that I was looking for that specific figure and he did not try to back out or drive the price up.

I took some pics today after I unboxed the lot he was in.

It is the Painted face plate Warpath variant, aka, Bearded Warpath!

 

I would have bought it if he didn't want $40.

 

I actually would have paid $40 just for Warpath.

no. I did not know that there was an unpainted one. I don't think that would be as interesting, since you would have to account for paint wear on regular versions. It is not as easily verifiable.

I like this version, because it resembles the box art more than the regular version.

It could have been someone who was new, was given the box art as reference and then was eventually corrected, leading up to very few being in existence.

 

The unpainted one was just a factory error I'm sure as the only one I've ever seen was sealed. Your version is the most aesthetically appealing to me.

 

I've never seen the unpainted warpath, interesting. I do like that black mouth version though, nice score.

 

I myself finally found a "standard" color IGA Cliffjumper in decent shape. Just like the red IGA Bumblebee, it's very light red, even lighter than the Estrela version. Here are some comparison shots.

Next to a Microchange which is the darkest red.


And all from lightest to darkest. IGA, Estrela, circle stamp pre-rub, standard rub, keychain, and the Microchange.

 

Cool! I would have to look at my Warpaths, I have several I got loose on Ebay, have not transformed them all, so I don't know if I have that version.

 

I did the same thing when I first found out about this version. I also went through all the eBay Warpath auctions looking for one. I started looking for this around 2008 or 9.
