Seems like Nintendo pre orders are just a small quantity of the final shipment. The Zelda Joy cons and Amiibo pre orders sold out quick but I was able to buy multiples of both items at retail and when I mean multiples I got 3 sets of joy cons. So there is hope for the Metroid items.
Well, pray the local GameStop has extras of the Special Edition. They told me the only pre-orders were done online. (Though a few of you mentioned pre-ordering in store, so shrug)
That was me, but it turned out they were only doing online preorders, which was bullshit. I've given up on trying to get a special edition. If TRU was still around, maybe, but it ain't, so I'll just grab a copy at whatever store I'm at on Friday morning before I see Bond.
Saw a YoUTuber's unboxing of the special edition and now I want it even moreso than I did before. I had no idea the artbook included artwork from the previous games in it. Pretty pissed that Nintendo didn't allow proper preorders for it.

Depending on where you order, you receive Art cards, an art booklet, steelbook cover and maybe the 2-figure Amiibo set. I'm debating on whether or not to go to Target at opening in hopes of scoring a special edition. Depends on if I can get away from work for 30 minutes.
Well, I work in the afternoon tomorrow, so I'll be going up to the mall tomorrow morning before they open to check GameStop. And if they're a bust, I'll check the Target too.

Best Buy has been frozen on "Our System is really busy..." for the last 15 minutes. Target says it isn't available to ship. EDIT: Best Buy finally let me complete the order for a store pick-up tomorrow. I hope it's real.
