I'm among those who only want the figures. I have all the sets set aside in a pile waiting to sell/trade away when I get back to that sort of thing. Aside from some of the weapons locker boxes and containers in Halo and CoD I don't use much of the extra bits outside of the figures.
MX like this one: HALO MEGA CONSTRUX GOLDEN FIGURES FROM 20TH ANNIVERSARY PACK LOT OF 5 | eBay is the only one that legitimately has it AFAIK. For the US sellers, you see messages like this in their listings... So they're literally selling preorders. I'm pretty sure these listings technically can be reported to Ebay.
Yup, I'm the same way. If I could get just the MOTU characters, and maybe the beasts, I'd be fine with not getting any of the vehicle or structure builds; I just don't like the look of brick builds (although MC does do some decent looking stuff). I'd rather get the figures from them and design and print 3D models or scratch-build kits for the vehicles and buildings I want. And moreso for the COD or Halo stuff. I'm not into either of those franchises at all, so I just buy them to make GI Joe customs out of. I don't need the brick portions at all for them.
I got into Mega Construx because of the figures. Heroes Wave 1 He-Man and Skeletor were my first MC figures. I love the design, scale, articulation, and customibility of their figures. The non-figure builds are great but the figures are my favorite part. For MOTU, I am getting frustrated of the minimal release of new figures. I am even now more concerned they might release MOTU figures based on the new Netflix series before we get more classic characters now. MOTU MC and Origins are my top 2 lines I collect now and I want as many vintage figure releases as possible for both lines.
My first of 2 MOTU 5 packs charged today! The 2nd 5 pack is for a buddy in Australia (sans Roboto and pending any issues with the 1st set I revieve).
I enjoy the builds, I just don't dedicate a lot of time to them right now because my long term plans dictate that it is easier to leave stuff in the box for now. That said, I will build some sets when I haven't much else to do. I put the Mammoth together one weekend because I was bored just to see how big it would wind up being. Unfortunately [but it typical Mega fashion] it is missing a very obvious piece on the cannon turret.
Hit my local Target and they were well stocked with Halo Infinite Blind Bags series 3. The codes were much easier to read on these and I got my mini UNSC Wasp. Also, I just realized the Orange Spartan Hermes could pass as powered up Man-At-Arms from the new Netflix MOTU cartoon.
Got the unsc wasp from amazon today. It looks pretty cool, but I threw it on the pile of unbuilt Halo infinite sets that I don’t know where I’m going to display.
Yeah, MC is stating the new MOTU sets are coming in Spring 2022. I thought BBTS estimated date of November was too optimistic. Gonna be a long hiatus between wave 3 heroes and these sets. Maybe the Slime Pit Skeletor skull will show up sooner.
Saw this for the first time at Target. Nice idea with all evolutions in one box. The GoT singles (in hand pics?)
It wasn't five bucks but I found the Warthog Rally set for fourteen at WalMart. You'll want to swap the torso out. That's a female Spartan.
"Labor shortage." That's a funny way of saying "we're not willing to pay market rate for labor." Ugh, Spring. MCX is so incredibly slow with this line. I'd blame the pandemic but they were always slow. I can't remember for certain but I feel like it was over two years between getting Leonardo and getting Michaelangelo.
For those with a Kroger Marketplace ... Found the Banshee Breakout set there for $12.50 - half price. Also, Trans-Man-at-Arms?
