That black lining around the waist and visor makes all the difference. Looks like a sharpie or Gundam marker, but that's a brush stroke?? Also, what do you use as a primer for acrylics? I've noticed even watered-down with multiple thin layers of paint will peel or chip off even after fully cured. Or are you using a clear sealer?
The lines are GM01 Gundammarker. I mixed a little silver into the cobalt and dark blue paint I used on the figure bodies, and the visors are a mix of yellow and silver.
Do us all a favor and make Mega aware of this. Five different WalMarts, no signs of Mega Brands products. I can't really say for certain but I think seeing no shelf space allotted for the brand is actually better than seeing empty shelf space. At least I don't feel as if I just missed something.
Yeah, I've been to several Walmarts on several occasions and have seen ZERO Mega Construx. As for letting Mega know about their shitty quality, I'll look into it...
Mega has a customer service area of their own outside Mattel. Don't waste your time with navigating Mattel's nonsense, go straight to Mega, they should be able to send you a replacement piece.
Awesome, thank you! Looks like their Call Center just closed and I only see a parts replacement request for missing parts so I'll call them next week.
Yep, they're pretty good about getting replacement parts to people. It's getting new products to stores that they struggle with.
Yeah, the only Mega products at Walmart I see are the Alien Eggs and Alien Queen by the other Alien products. They might have some Pokemon but I don't pay attention to those.
They put a temp ban on my account on their site for being negative. Maybe I should have tried, "Wow, WalMart sure is missing out on all this new stuff they aren't carrying!" I wish I could care, not like they are listening to what their customers are telling them anyway. Between the lack of distribution, poor retail support and scalpers it's really not any fun to me anymore looking forward to new stuff let alone looking for it. Anyway, I can answer the one question asked about the series 12 Halo sets being sold for a dollar. That particular WalMart was discounting the brand to clear the shelf space for the D&D and other stuff that has replaced it. The woman I talked to, who actually helped me obtain those figures I bought and is fairly reliable, explained that her department didn't care to reset the price once the old stuff was gone because the new stuff wasn't going to be supported any further than the case they got in through the automated reorder system. Once it was gone, they were done with Mega Brands until they were told otherwise. Since I bought up the leftovers, that store has stopped carrying the brand. As of today, I have seen exactly three WalMart stores with actual Mega product on the shelf be it in the form of Xeno eggs, the queen and/or Pokemon stuff. I think I have been to a three or four more with a listing for the eggs but no actual merchandise and probably close to two dozen now that don't have Mega even hinted at. Targets are marginally better that they have maybe 60% of the Halo stuff available at any given store. But Halo isn't MotU or GoT and Targets are too far out for me to casually stop by. Fortunately, online retailers seem to be getting in a moderate stream of items but Amazon is almost a scalper flea market if you don't catch the listing when it first becomes available. And EE.com and DeepDiscount don't offer everything that's supposed to be available by now. Anyone else just tired of the nonsense?
That's crazy, I just assumed it was painted like the others, I guess if mine falls off I will tough it up like all of the other ones.
This store looks to be legit and sells MEGA products, for everyone's info: MEGA MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE CLASSIC ROTON ASSAULT Collectibles on Movies Unlimited
