I recently started getting some of these, Tested them out with the Mongoose set which was awesome then I got 8 of the Single figure packs got everything except the AC Flame marine, and double Green Pilot/Marine (is there a difference apart from the backpack ?) Love the Purple and Pink spartans. A few days ago I got the White Rocket Warthog and Love it, Love loading in loads of spartans. I really like the camo pattern they have put in the bricks White and green. Want to get some ODST's, are the Drop pods the only way to get them ?
As of right now airspeed, The only ways to get ODST's are with the drop pods and the two toys r' us exclusive sets, but more drop pods and a wrecked recruitment center are coming out later this year
I'm really, really tempted by the Brute Prowler and the new Banshee. But I'm kind of OCD about my minifigs so it really bothers me that they keep changing up the colors.
I think you'd be in the minority on that one ... it would be kind of boring if we just released the same color over and over, I think! Well I get that other people like it, I just think bright, multi-colored armies look kinda silly. Like I said, I'm a bit OCD about it. It's my issue to deal with. That being said, I find it doubtful that I won't eventually be tempted to pick up the new banshee and prowler. My willpower is weak!
Hey guys, Keep an eye out at Wal-Marts. I've been seeing series 1 & 2 of the blind packs being restocked! Also, look what I found! Mega Bloks is doing a new blind pack series with the Marvel Characters! I found a new box of them at the Wal-Mart on Academy and noticed the serial numbers on the back, so I got an entire set right away. Awesome little dudes, I'm using these and the other mini figs on my city bots as a display. So if any of you are interested, here's how you identify them so you can get what you want. Here's the back of the pack: Now right above the UPC barcode is a non-ink stamp that is the serial number that identifies each figure. I tried the codes with the halo figures once on the back the codes were all the same. I don't know where people are finding these codes to tell them apart.
I've not seen the blind packs in ages. I miss the thrill of buying every one in the little cardboard display, then opening each one to see what they are.
Bump with a minor new acquisition - found the new weapons packs at Target today, and I picked up the Spartan one. More painted weapons (sniper!) is always good, and I didn't have any pistols yet; the different Spartan armor is subtle but cool, and enought bits to make a fairly decent weapons rack seal the deal - worth the ~$6.50. Also grabbed a single blindpack, unopened until I make this post - no cheating aside from tactile testing to make sure I wasn't getting a Brute is... Well, hades! Cloaked Flamer Spartan!
Those Halo Marvel figs look pretty cool. I was at my Target today, getting my weekly box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but they didn't have any of these. Pricks.
So I went to target today, and found all these grab bag packs! Got the first two I could get, and hey, both flame marine variations were in them! BB28
So I just got into these, and am now totally hooked. Any chance anyone has a series 1 single pack active camo Spartan they wouldn't mind parting with? Damn these things are cool!
There's new ODST Drop pod sets now. Arctic ones. The Sniper includes the new Battle Rifle mold! It's pretty awesome, but I haven't gotten one yet.
The figs with the drop pods have superb paint jobs. Best one's yet. My Banshee came with 2 sticker sheets Hard to find the blind packs, people are snatching up the whole cases of them and they rarely restock
