New CoD set, the original Little Bird they did was good and this like the upcoming Snowmobile are nice revisions of those OG sets.

So for those of you old enough to recall the Remco the lost world of the warlord line / MOTU KO lines from the 80's (which i assume is most of us here) this Tartarus figure has to make you smile. This is a definite addition to my collection and that's saying something as someone that's working hard to focus my collection (i don't collect HALO despite its awesomeness).

The light grey body and build is a nice start towards a Remco Warrior Beasts Wolf Warrior modern update

 

According to Kevin, that new furry torso is going to see a lot of use in the near future...

 

I'm surprised they aren't using it for Stratos

I expect it will be used again for Moss Man (original being a green Beast Man with fur) & possibly Stinkor, but Grizzlor will need a new mold to emulate the long fur.

My (KO Mega Construx) SWAT set arrived a few days ago and i must say...the blue plastic used is actually much closer in color to the classic Cobra blue than the image shows. I thought i'd receive something akin to a dark powder blue plastic but , no, these are 1986 Cobra Viper blue. Someone did their research. You legitimately only need red paint highlights and Cobra sigil tampos to make these look like official G Joe mega construx.

 

Still couldn’t give him a Fist of Rukt....  

 

This year’s budget for tooling couldn’t be stretched far enough to cover it, according to MCX_Kevin.

 

I'm actually working on a Viper Upgrade set. Will have a new torso/vest and head that matches the original figure.

 

That makes sense I mean it's only going to be a one use accessory, so it seems a waste of resources to make it. I suppose we should be lucky we're getting a new Tartarus at all huh?  

 

A repainted juggernaut helmet and / or the head of the soldier that has a lower face covering are what I planned on using. Are you sculpting / modifying in order to create new pieces?

 

Yep, sculpting the parts and making casts so I can troop build. The Viper helmet I have made is near perfect with the pointless goggles and all.

 

I'm actually doing the same thing myself with regard to non COD parts (i need some body parts in a specific color as well as some specific boots that i have to sculpt). I look forward to seeing your helmets!
