    None of them are R.E.D. Exhaust and Wheeljack are Takara Masterpieces.

    The legends sized ones are third party:
    Reflector, Soundwave, cassettes, Optimus -> Magic Square Toys
    Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Megatron, Insecticons-> Newage Toys
    Astrotrain -> Mechanic Studios Iron Sky
    Devastator -> DX9 Hulkie
    small Wheeljack -> Toyworld Whiskeyjack

    We have been through a lot you and I. Yet you continue to fight me... Do you know all that I've done? What I would do again given the chance? You fight me because you don't understand me.

    Understand this Prime. I am not good, nor am I evil. I am neither hero, nor villain. I am MEGATRON. And I will be Cybertron's savior.

    It's been done before, and better...but I just had to at least once! If only that stupid stand didn't get in the way!

    How did you even get the stand to hold? I tried this last night and it just kept collapsing before I could get the picture.

    You need to do some modding on it. Check out @Samue1's original post: Minor/Repaint: - MP-44 General Fix Thread
    Did it on mine, works well enough, My Prime has been sitting on it (in that pose @chchchch did here :)  ) and hasn't fallen once. In my case it still is a bit wobbly, but obviously its secure enough.

    Thank you brother!!

    Wow I didn't realize @Samue1 had done such a detailed write-up on it! I did the first part with filing down the wedge and I think I went a little too far, but it will hold decently if I have enough tension on the ratchet. I really need to check out the other portion with the Lego parts/spring, that sounds like a brilliant solution!

    Perfect!!!

    I did a bit of a rash thing yesterday. I saw Sunstreaker for sale with a Japanese shop, Jungle and I ordered it.

    Its a toy that I’ve often thought looked rather special* but it was always rather expensive. Even when I could afford it, it was just too much to spend for a toy that size. (I will admit I’ve spent more on figures but they were much bigger.) I think it came out around the time when prices started increasing a lot for these, although the features and engineering also seemed to increase. Seriously, I checked out a video review of the toy and considering he’s around the same height as Sideswipe there’s a lot going on in comparison. I didn’t even realise that there was two different roof options for the car mode alone! And raisable headlamps and openable doors, and bonnet, (outside of transformation features I mean), and nifty weapons storage, nice!

    Anyhow, I saw the price going for below half the going rate and I couldn’t resist. It works out a bit more with the 5% handling fee,** (why don’t they just incorporate that in the prices?) but is still low for this figure. It is second hand, but I know these tend not to devalue much, as long as the condition is good. If I chose to sell it (I didn’t buy it to resell. Just thinking about value and future, etc) I reckon I might even make a profit.

    Of course I’m still taking a bit of a chance here. They’re one of those sellers who don’t go into a lot of descriptive detail, but I’ve noticed they do mention damage on other figures. (Ironically, it’s the sealed figures- the most expensive- that might have the largest risk as they don’t open them to check for damage. This isn’t one of those.) No damage is mentioned aside from a dinged box, I think, which I can live with, so I’m hopeful. And really hoping I haven’t made a bad mistake! I came upon the shop from a link from someone on this forum who said a nice thing about them, so that seems positive.

    *Although he does have a rather large backpack.

    ** With the price, I asked them if it was an original Takara Tomy. I got a rather curt reply “It is illegal for Japanese sellers to sell knock off goods. Especially shops.” Fair enough. That told me. :p

    Yeah. Jungle, Mandarake, all those Japanese shops carry second-hand goods and, shipping notwithstanding, the prices are usually lower than the going prices you see on eBay or trading forums, where collectors inflate the price to what they think other collectors will pay.

    I have purchased a few MPs from Mandarake for under list price, well after they were sold out in the states and collectors were trying to make a profit.

    those shops won’t deal in knockoffs. Jungle and Mandarake (and probably others) both have very high standards of quality too, so a “box damaged” listing would mean there’s just a little fraying on a corner, for instance.

    both shops highly recommended.

    I know a lot of people might not care for the cartoon aesthetic, but this is one figure I think really nails it. The look is amazing and the transformation is an engineering masterpiece, no pun intended. It amazes me how the ladder (and crane on Grapple) just straight up disappear into the robot mode figure. Brilliant. IMG_3272.JPG IMG_3273.JPG IMG_3274.JPG IMG_3275.JPG IMG_3276.JPG

    I'm 100% with you on this. MP Grapple is one of my favorite masterpiece figures.
