Cordon has the yellow head for now. I may switch them back at some point but for now, I want Spinout all red. Suntreaker will not be getting Spinout’s head. Although it’s interesting that Spinout came with two sets of stickers. One could perhaps do a lot of head and shin swapping and decal application if they desired a toy look.

    Myself, I’m toon whenever possible.

That’s the negative of clear plastic that needs to withstand the stress of moving parts. I haven’t looked at mine in a couple years.

I only care about total screen accuracy with Transformers TV and film series that were consistent with the sizes and color schemes of the models and actually try to keep the errors to a minimum. Which is why I've stopped collecting the G1 Masterpieces in favor of owning the Generations figures of those characters and no season 4 onwards G1 characters because I like to think G1 ended with the return of Optimus Prime.

You might want to keep it that way, the thing is absolutely hideous.

Cool. Myself, I lean toward a toy aesthetic, but in deciding whether or not to get Spinout, one of my considerations was giving Cordon the yellow head. Hence my curiosity. I would honestly put the yellow head on Sunstreaker but I'm too lazy to paint his dark grey parts black.

Depending on how good you are with a screwdriver and pin removal, you could swap enough parts between the three to covert Sunstreaker into a full toy mode. An added bonus for toy lovers are the decal sheets that come with Spinout. I’m sure that TT may have released all three with that unspoken option for those ambitious enough.

@Agent 539 I'm gonna need to see more photos of Spinout with Cordon's head, that looks amazing. He looks like the devil!

You did nothing wrong. Unfortunately, even trying be negative for a laugh is frowned upon by the elite of the real fandom.

Meanwhile, my wife intercepted my Spinout upon arrival, so I guess I don’t get to appreciate him until Christmas...

Just buy another one. Problem solved.

I’m in the process of taking a few more pictures. He’ll soon visit nightmares upon thee.

Thanks for picture. Nice to see comparison between MP-10 and MP-44 there. The blue tint windows of MP44 have grown on me and MP-10’s chest windows sometimes look a bit too narrow. I think I’m overall pleased with MP-10 though (I own just that one of the masterpiece Optimus Primes.) I think I prefer the colour scheme, overall.

edit: I hope the first pic doesn’t break any rules, Soar is 3P but Spike, Carly and the background are mp44 and mp45 ;)

Since the MP line is the be-all/end-all for diehard G1 fans, I’m hoping the figures will last the test of time. With that said, which ones have you noticed either wearing down or breaking over time?

My MP-01 waist joint ratchet connection is wearing down since the screw is unseating(will add threadlocker to it once I get the chance). My MP-12G has cracking chest/hood paint but that may be isolated to my copy(despite almost never touching that area when handling and being in an air conditioned room away from sunlight).

Aside from a few paint chips and scratches I’ve only really noticed bicep swivels getting loose, specifically on Ironhide, Megatron and Soundwave.
