Ooph, I bet. Still though, I think those kind of displays are worth it.

Very much doubt the bolded part, since Transformations have become more and more complex in the last releases. Both the new version of Optimus and Bumblebee are far more complex and involved than the previous versions. MP-10 and MP-21 are easy and fun to transform and smoothtly go from robot to alt and back -- and all in a few minutes time. In contrast, the new version involve a lot of panel flipping with many small parts and moving parts through small hinges with risk of paint chipping.

Likewise, I consider the MP-3/11 mould to already have a smooth transformation. Nothing fights you, nothing is really difficult and everything flows. (Actually, it should've been a bit more involved, because I also have the Oversized KO's by Robot Hero and they added some steps that results in the shoulders and the torso locking, thus giving it a more solid robotmode.)

And a new seeker would have a lot of parts that need to be present in jet mode and not be there in robotmode (tailfins, rear wings) because there weren't there on the animation model. Possibly even parts that need to change size during transformation or shape (the intakes are angular in jetmode, but curved in robotmode). I'm pretty sure based on what needs to happen during transformation and the far more complicated Transformation of the previous remade MP figures, that a new seeker would have a transformation that would make MP-3/11 a breeze in comparison.

I heard that Star Saber has loose joints. What does that mean, and does it mean the toy isn't worth $230?

How do you like the new Bumblebee? I've been on the fence with it.

I love him. So full of life and character, really posable. MP-44 and MP-36 are more impressive but MP-45 is the most immediately fun.

Looks like Takara will be releasing a new MP Starscream mold. Hopefully one day they get around to redoing the MP Grimlock along with the rest of the Dinobots!

One of those purchases where, as a collector you look back and think, what the fuck were you thinking!!

I have no nostalgia for this character at all, but convinced myself when it released that it was part of the Japanese G1 continuity, so should have it in my collection. Well that was pretty stupid of me as it's been standing like this untouched ever since!

Unlikely Takara will redo another G1 Shockwave any time soon, so at least I can enjoy these in the collection for a few years :D

Well, with MP-36 Megatron and now the new Starscream being teased, it wouldnt be too much of a stretch to think that a new Soundwave is coming too.
The MP-13 Soundwave mold is still a sentimental favourite of mine in the series. But I'm sure a new one would blow it away in terms of cartoon accuracy like all the new figures do.

There’s still plenty of issues with the original Starscream figure(limited pose ability, that back kibble)

Soundwave on the other hand is perfection
