Well, I bit the bullet and ordered Cheetor and Dinobot. I’ve had Cheetor before so I know what to expect with him (love him), but I’ve never even seen Lizard Lips in person so I’m very excited. And I’ve seen video reviews and everything so I know what I’m getting myself into, I’m just kinda drooling with anticipation over here lol.

Dinobot is striking in hand because of how damn big it is and the paint. Careful transforming the legs though, paint is easier to chip during transformation(happened to me).

Hopefully you have the Hasbro Asia edition too to avoid the shoulder hinge breakages.

I was wondering about that, I ordered from BBTS and they only have the one listing for him. Not sure if it’s the reissue but I’m hoping.

Just about done with this diorama. I need to tidy up the borders, apply touch up paint to any sections that I've missed noticing so far and maybe resurface the middle piece that Prime's standing on. Other than that, I consider it done.

This is possibly the most impressive piece I've seen in a long time. Is any of this plastered, or is it all just carved up foam with diorama supplies added? I see a lot of textures, so I'm guessing things were added on top of the foam, but wanted to confirm. This is going to change your display forever, man!

    Thank you.

    Beyond appreciated.

After the carving, I used damp spackle to cover most of the seams, fill in various spots and did many blotch strokes to create a rockier look. The middle piece is looking more out of place now so I’ll have to add more rock texture and repaint it to make everything look more uniform.

My main display will still be my cabinet, but for short and silent comics, I’ll have more atmosphere to play with.

Do you guys think the Takara MP-10 should've had yellow eyes? The deco reminds me more of the G1 toy rather than cartoon and the blue eyes are so dark. I think it could look good with yellow eyes and chromed upper legs.

Since he has a toy deco, yellow eyes should have been standard considering that TT didn’t go in the full toon direction at that point.

This is why I think creating the MP+ line so we could have full toon or toy deco was a great idea from Takara. The Hasui era was great, but because it didn't fully commit one way or the other it left meant that there were situations where a figure wouldn't fully please toon or toy enthusiasts. Having a clear direction with the decos I feel means they can please both groups.

The slow pace which they're releasing the alternate decos is another matter though.

The slow pace at which they're releasing anything G1 related at all is annoying!

I think it would've been cool to have a eye swapping gimmick on MP-10 like the one for MP Grimlock, bright yellow and bright blue, not the dark blue Takara went with(going that dark shade of blue for Prime's eyes always left me puzzled)

True. Grimlock did that first in both modes. There’s enough room in Prime’s helmet for two sets of eyes.

@Destructimis Prime gave her MP-10 yellow eyes and it’s a nice touch.

Wheeljack is my favorite character and I never took to his real world deco. With the toon version, I felt more complete with that release.

Nautilator really should have known not to go scrounging near the Ark when Cordon’s around. Or at least he would have if the other Seacons hadn’t “accidentally” neglected to warn him about Seafood Night.

I’m still anticipating Red Diaclone Sunstreaker and Toy accurate Sunstreaker. A G2 version would be sweet as well.
