I thought that clock in the backgroun looked like Unicron for a moment.
They’ll never unsee that now lol
Lots of good memories tied up with this guy. My MP collection at this point consisted of MP-1 Acid Storm, MP-2 Soundwave and YOTH Optimus. I bought him from a table at a late spring street festival. He’s my first import Transformer, the one that turned my eyes eastward and created my preference for Takara’s more tasteful MP packaging. I ended up buying Coronation Starscream shortly after and my fate was well and truly sealed. With Streak+ and the reissue MP-13 in my POL and Bumblebee 2.0 paid for I’m up to 83 Masterpiece releases now. And there’s at least 28 current or upcoming figures that I want, a third of which I need.
One of which being Deep Cover! I keep hoping he’ll get dropped into the year end release schedule like Clampdown was.
Damn, that’s a great idea! I could see one made from reclaimed metal springs, gears and such. Too bad I can’t weld, I’d make one myself. I need a Unichronometer!
Well played sir.
Haven't posted for a while but still loving my masterpiece !
Megatron cheating as always ...
Beastwars MP Megatron is on sale again at BBTS....
He will be mine!
So is reissue of MP09 $179.99.
TBH, it's always been Unicron to me!
Wife picked it out tho, so it's still a coincidence.
Thanks for your pics. If you didn't show the Shockwave have waist swivel, I never know he has. I'm so happy that TT gives people surprise sometimes.
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, not only does Shockwave have a waist swivel but he also has a fore and aft ab crunch (though it's a bit tricky to lock in the forward position - the tab at the bottom of his stomach piece has to catch on the inside of his underwear) as well as an adjustable right elbow to allow for deeper bends to aid in saluting. @Sam discovered that one, the legend!
Yes, I learned the adjustable right elbow from @Sam before. And now I learned waist swivel and ab crunch from you. Thank you so much. MP 29/29+ are full of surprise. I feel like I got the bonus today.
I see what you did there.
I find this to be a very interesting picture. There's the + and therefor more cartoon coloured version of Bluestreak, but at the same time Inferno is modified to incorporate more from the toy, along with MP Bulmblebee who's designed to be a mix.
I must say, seeing Streak+ in this pic makes me want to get him. Already have the regular, the silver and the blue version and don't care for the cartoon colours (9 out of 10 times), but it reminds me a bit of my old G1 Bluestreak, which was the flat grey Mexican version.
I try and curate a collection that walks the fine line between Cartoon and Toy. The clean paint on the more detailed Bluestreak is a nice balance which I tried to emulate by including more detail on Inferno.
Love MP-44's truck mode! Goes beautifully with all the other anime decos (Day of the Machines nod here)
