For some reason, the intelligence transfer didn't work for Grimlock.

Sadly, no. They did send him a care package, but 44 wasn't something they were able to do for him. :(

The reissue @Jazz Meister had mentioned for Sunstreaker. Not that you have to buy it from these guys, but it’ll give you some info on how long you’ll have to wait. I use Anime-Export on occasion.

    Today I got:

    Thrust
    Ramjet
    Inferno
    Prowl +
    Wheeljack +
    Bluestreak +

Looking to get Prime, Megs, Sideswipe+ Alert+ and Sunstreaker for the holidays. Then I will adopt a pattern of 1 mp per month, because Im still in need of the likes of Shockwave +, Soundwave, Dinobot, Beast Megatron, Ironhide and Ratchet.

I would advise you to get a copy of the badcube sideswipe...I have both it and mp12+....badcube wins...easy.

@rodimusconvoy, I suggest you do research and make the choice of which one you think looks better. I think mp12+ looks much better than badcubes version. Up to you

I will go MP 12+. Even if the bad cubes is a better figure, I dont want to get into the rabit hole that seems to be the 3rd party scene.

I'd say get 12+ or wait for a possible Sideswipe 2.0. It's like my buddy said, the Badcube Sideswipe and Red Alert are better on paper (cartoon accuracy), but are more crude and less elegant in execution. 12+, even though the mold is outdated by today's standards, still looks better from an artistic standpoint (better artistic decisions, beveled edges, curves, more tastefully located panel breaks even given its lower budget/parts count, etc).

Truly awesome shots, @MSWF377 !!! So glad you went for the big guy!

Thanks so much! A little part of me thinks “how could you pay $300+ for a toy?” and then I fiddle with him and he’s just a dream come true for a G1 fan. He’s a great figure of a great character.

I actually really like MP12+. His proportions may look weird now, and his articulation is nothing compared to newer figures, but he’s a fun figure and the new paint job really help him fit in with the new guys.

He is a great figure....but he sticks out like a sore thumb next to the likes of mp-39 and mp-44. It is a dream of mine that TT will make a v2 soon. That would be amazing.

He does stick out. But not enough for me to rush to a new one. If eventually they make one that matches the new guys I’ll jump all over him. For me, the + paint job really helped him fit in better. That’s why it’s great that new versions or other companies can help meet different fans needs

I know this guy sort of splits the fandom, but I think he’s really great even with his shortcomings. Especially that car mode and paint job. I’d almost be sad to see a + version because I know they won’t use that beautiful blue metallic paint again image.jpg

I'm a lot of ways he was the last of that entire era of MP. He's absolutely a fantastic toy, and I'd be content with a + version of him. I would pay extra for some retooling, but it's not something I'd complain about if they decided not to.

I won’t mind losing the metallic sheen if it means getting a Toy accurate visor faced version. I always liked the original toy’s shade of blue anyways.

Speaking of visors, reason enough to get my favourite of the Corvettes out. F1284A3B-8C74-4ACF-ACDD-866F3EA25E9F.jpeg 1DAF31F2-0C7E-42FD-85DD-C7CC83B1B8DF.jpeg AE4492AE-4E9E-4FB4-BD17-A70F67DBE7BB.jpeg

Appreciating the era of MP 3.0 where cartoon accuracy is top priority, but I feel that the backpack/feet of Bumblebee and the huge backpack of Optimus prime is still not perfect, then it got me thinking of MP Star Saber... I think MP Star Saber must be the most cartoon accurate Transformer toy to date. It looks exactly like the animation from all angles, and even the transformation is cartoon accurate. Because of the source material it needs to be faithful to, I also think that we may never get a transformer toy that is more cartoon accurate than MP Star Saber.
