I’m glad that @BrutiKing and I were able to set you two up to present all of us with a glimpse of a great idea.

Reminds me of the story The Shadow by Hans Christian Anderson.

I think these pics are ok, though I don't like the fact that the whites are so bright compared to other colors. Its because I use natural lighting. I think I have to invest in some lighting equipment, but I want to keep it cheap.

Technical mumbling aside, the Datsun's remain a great mold. there are some issues that could be corrected - particularly if the front hipskirts moved. But still
BTW, Prowl was my first official MP. And one of my first G1 figures back in the day. Still one of my favorite characters.

    Thanks :)

I think I also have to stop using the jpgs, and use the CR2s. My camera (like most, I think) does some basic 'postproduction' on them, and they often have a higher contrast than the CR2s. That's a bit of laziness on my part, particularly as DPP (Canon's program for editing CR2s) has some great tools for that.
I typically use gimp for tweaking, and I think I have to start doing what you said about separating the objects into layers. I'm always a bit afraid that I'll go a bit to far and make it look unnatural. But I honestly enjoy playing with it, so there will be a lot of experimentation! :)

Absolutely adore these slavish cartoon paint schemes and the matte style is the icing on the cake.

We are so spoilt for choice right now.

And these photos are why I'll never switch over to the + versions of Prowl and Streak (no offense to those that dig them). I love the more polished finish of the originals. It's a wonderful hybrid of toon and real world accuracy.

So many great shots lately! Keep it up, everyone!

Sam's right, Satomiblood. I have the original recent and the first reissue but not the second most recent one. Besides having a more pearly as opposed to silver face, the reissue also fixed the sprue marks on the top of the forearms that the og had. Not only that, but the mold was tweaked with the hip skirts modded so that they didn't get in the way of the cab turning in alt mode.

Ultra Magnus' articulation is indeed limited, but it's amazing how expressive and poseable he is nonetheless. Like Sam I'm an articulation junkie but this figure still manages to be one of my absolute favorites. Incredible presence, character, gimmicks, and his transformation is very fun and very easy. Highly recommended!

Season 2. Gotta love the variety. As much as the Ark crew are iconic this group are arguably a better looking ensemble.

After my recent trip, I find that I still have some change to throw (if I decide otherwise suddenly, I get paid next week). What's a good, recent MP I could get right now and not spend too much?

On the fence about selling this guy... I honestly don't have a ton of connection to BW, at least the classic CGI show, thoughts anyone?

MP-20+ or MP-18+. I love their color schemes and Bluestreak has some great faces/blast effects.

How much would you miss him if he were gone? If you wouldn't miss him much or at all, I would sell him and buy a figure you'd rather have.
