This IH is one of the 1st release editions like mine. The chrome wore off to quickly. Aside from that, an awesome feat in toy engineering!

Maybe just my copy but in BW Megs, one panel that folds(left side) won't lock in. Its the violet peg that locks/align on to the indentation. The right panel part aligns in just fine but the left one

First time I've taken pics of Megatron. So photogenic!

I transformed him this morning, and in all honesty, he really has no "Masterpiece moments" during the process, unless you count finally lining up all the panels so they don't pop apart.
I do like how the sides compress into the tiny backpack pieces, but aside from that...nothing impressive like Artfire's crane or G1 Megatron's legs.

I think he's more ooh, ahhh visually versus how'd they do that.

If it makes you feel any better, both of those panels don’t lock in for me. They just kinda sit there; you can push them into the slots, but they don’t “lock” securely, they just kinda pop put again. I have no idea if it’s supposed to be that way, or if they are indeed supposed to be securely tabbed.

    Nice photos!
I wasn’t really expecting any “Masterpiece moments” with BW Megs. His overall transformation in the show was pretty simple. Optimus Primal is the same way, in that he’s pretty straight forward and fairly show accurate. Like with Megatron in beast mode, if you use your imagination and look close enough, you can see it’s basically just his torso turned to the side with his legs slightly bent and his arms out to the sides—they didn’t need some miraculous transformation gimmick for him. That’s how Shockwave was ruined for me, because in alt mode, he’s just in a funny bent over pose with his arms straight out lol! The way the dino panels fold into that neat back pack IS genius though. But yeah, I love those moments and see where you’re coming from.
Other than that, he’s straight up beautiful and the gem of my collection.

Messing around with him a bit. I think I'm really warming up to the figure more now that I've taken a few pics.

Okay, ONE more superhero landing pose. Looks more aesthetically pleasing when Megs is naked. ;)

Decided to test drive the toon window decals from Toyhax. I'm loving the blue contrast on Sideswipe+ so its my new favorite.

Question for the guy that's always taking apart the MPs and counting the parts.....or anyone else that knows:

There's no way to take off Hot Rod's chrome parts without punching out pins, right?

you are on fire! I love these recreations!

@Yaujta That last pic with Megatron stomping on Hound is gold!

I recently decided to sell a lot of my TFs, some of my MPs and wind down my TF collecting. I did a lot of de-duplicating. But I had to keep these two - Prowl because, police car, and I wanted to keep all the Diaclone "rescue" figures, and Bluestreak because ABSOLUTE STUNNER. He's in the center of one of my shelves.

Honestly if you don't have this mold and only want to get one, you can't go wrong with either of these.

I don't normally do pin/rivet removal although I have done it before with my Sideswipe/Clampdown parts swap. There are a few guides out there in the Radicons section and it seems like @Dickyscrubbs set you up good for it.

Thanks. I was curious about how they'd turn out and I'm quite pleased with them. May add some flare and will have to do it to all my + MPs. I did notice that some were cut slightly short so it's not 100% coverage but still works for me.
