Actually mine also has the lazy eye issue you mentioned on the straight eyes. I forgot about that. That may be a somewhat common issue if we both have it.

Here are shots of my original issue Primal. One thing I noticed with the reissue of this one is that the painted fur texture appears to be a little darker and and has more of a blue tint. I doubt I could capture it in a photo. It’s very subtle. But definitely a tiny bit different. Actually now that I think about it Cheetor’s spots are a tiny bit darker on the reissue as well.

I noticed it on someone's Cheetor reissue on Twitter too. It's a minor enough issue that I guess I could fix if I wanted to.

Now that I've had the four BW MPs for a little while, I'd rate them (entirely subjectively):

    Favourite Beast Mode:
    Megatron
    Dinobot
    Cheetor
    Primal

    Favourite Robot Mode:
    Dinobot
    Megatron
    Primal
    Cheetor

    Favourite Transformation:
    Primal
    Dinobot
    Megatron
    Cheetor

Captures Best the Essence of the Character:
    4-way tie

Nothing will beat having a giant purple T-Rex, but Dinobot's alt-mode is supremely fun too - his articulated arms are great.
I'm still totally in love with MP-41, so he beats Megatron in robot mode, despite Megatron arguably being perfect in this mode (backpack a little thick). Remember this list is entirely subjective ;)
I think Primal has the most fun and repeatable transformation, while I still find Cheetor's frustrating :lol  I prefer the fluidity of Dinobot's transformation, even though it's arguably more complicated than Megatron's, which does everything you want but for an MP transformation doesn't really have any 'wow' moments.

I really can't say which of them captures their character the best. I think they all do a phenomenal job. In a cull it's hard to tell who I'd sell first between the BW crew and the random non-toon repaints. Even if I decided to get out of the BW game I think Dinobot has cemented himself as a permanent part of my collection, which is fitting since it was his MP's full-colour reveal that got me interested enough to actually watch BW in the first place.

Of the non-toon repaints that I could potentially sell, MP-36+ would never go anywhere. He would probably even survive a cull ahead of certain toon characters like Grapple or Tracks.

Some fun I’ve had with the BW lot over the last few weeks:

It’s so fun having two posable modes to choose from. Adds a whole new dimension over previous MPs (never had MP-8).

    Fantastic pics @Sam !!

And I totally agree about Cheetor’s transformation. When I got my reissue I was transforming both my copies to compare and I was getting very frustrated. What I hate about all of the BW MP’s is that there always seems to be potential paint wear from the transformation. Edit: To be clear I haven’t actually lost any paint yet, but it makes me nervous and I transform them very slowly just in case.

I still haven’t seen the BW show. I just started buying the BW MPs because they all look amazing and have excellent paint finishes.

Blackarachnia looks absolutely stunning!! And her price rumour is very reasonable.

Great pics Sam. Dinobot would summon enough humor to pull off a pose like that.

My first run Cheetor’s paint is still good. Primal on the other hand, has been showing some paint wear bu hat due to handling and not the transformation. I did buy the re-issue Primal because I scuffed up a gorilla face during the last comic. Now you guys can peg me for animal abuse.

Speaking of Blackarachnia, she’s a beauty and i’m glad that they were anle to pull off the look. Now, I want to see her beast mode.

The web looks so alive and true to Beast Wars.

I know I've said it before, but - they are just knocking it out of the park with the BW MPs. So glad fans of the show are getting some of the love that's been reserved for G1 for so long. Blackarachnia looks like another stunner.

It does look like they tamed her a tad bit. It's already pushing it enough that she has breast. I'm glad that it's nothing obscene. I don't want to see that feature in my toys.

Since we're on the topic of Beast Wars, I'd thought I'd take the gang out to have some fun before I stored this diorama away in the garage.

Thanks. That was a huge itch I had to scratch when figuring out which diorama I wanted to make next. I still want to do a gas station so I may do that one over the summer. I need somewhere to park the carbots.

An updated canyon scene is also onthe list.

Its almost like I can hear them when I look at the photos.

Dinobot: Would you get this thing moving already! You are trying my patience.
Cheetor: Alright, alright. Ease it dino-breath. This thing isn't exactly elegant to operate.

Optimus: Well might as well get this over with. Who knows. Might even be fun.
    Dinobot: Doubtful.

Megatron: Yeees. That's it Maximals, feel the pain of my greatest scheme yet. Be forced to ride my over expensive and ultimately disappointing carnival attraction!

It seems I have owned or still own the Beast Wars Masterpieces at one or another except Megatron. Very tempting...

I really hope they rerelease Dinobot with the shoulder ratchet fixed. Had to return it back to Amazon JP because mine exploded.

I think they’re still there, but as some people speculated, the paint makes them way less obvious. Or the final moulded parts are less sharp so details like that are more subtle now.
