    section, so that it's visible outside of the quote! :thumb [/QUOTE]

    Sam My plan is to eventually get a 36+ bye patiently waiting for a deal at some point . I want to make MP10+ because I think he will go better with 36+ IMO . I will eventually get 44 when I either get a jaw dropping deal OR Takara releases him sans trailer for a much reduced price. I have MP01x3[2 are customs]MP10x2(one for custom MP10+) Toyworlds version which I love bigger scale and all. I really don't feel the need for another G1 MP prime and don't have the room/display space atm nor do I really have a 44 or 36+ budget at the moment with other more pressing priorities .
    I heard about your idea/started custom and loved the idea and want one for myself.

    Okay gang, I've broken down the trailer and did the count.

    *Edit
    Parts - 102.
    Screws - 74.
    Rivets - 8
    Springs - 3
    Pins - 8

    As soon as I get the trailer back together, I'll grab all of the counts and do a final count for MP-10.

    Can the piece that pegs into Optimus and rotates be removed?

    It can but there's a big rivet connected to the trailer hitch on the black portion of the trailer.

    It can. There is a rivet that connects to the trailer hitch. To get to it, you'll have to remove the screws on the bottom. The pegs are longer so it'll take some work to get the black layer loose.

    These are the only screws needed to assist in removing the black piece.

    So, for the complete total on what's in the MP-10 box, here are the numbers:
    MP-10 - 247 parts. 82 screws. 34 pins. 15 springs. 10 rivets.(*Ion Blaster, Matrix, and Energy Axe included)
    Battle Platform - 102 parts. 74 screws. 8 pins. 3 springs. 8 rivets.
    Roller - 13 parts. 8 screws. 2 pins.
    Spike - 7 parts.

    Parts = 369
    Screws = 164
    Pins = 44
    Springs = 18
    Rivets = 18

    I wonder what MP-44's total will be.

    Dude, nice work!!

    It will certainly be interest to have a parts count comparison when MP-44 comes out. Hopefully you can get one without completely taking it apart!

    Thanks again for this awesome research!

    It may be easier to get a parts count on MP-44 due to the explosion mid-transformation. The only thing that would be hidden are the springs if any. Since Pandora’s box is now open, I’ll do a parts count to see how much TT loves us by creating the MP-44.

    I am extremely interested in a comparison of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker like this. But you’d need to destroy your toys to do it, no? It would be a giant leap forward in TF science nonetheless.

    Nice work guy. Really cool.

    TF Science. I like it. I did a complete breakdown of Sideswipe when I swappped his parts with Clampdown so a detailed count is back a few pages. I believe the MP-12 mold is 116 in parts. @Goldimus Prime did a rough count of Sunstreaker and she got north of 150 in parts I think without breaking Sunstreaker down. So the parts count could be closer to 170 which is a safe estimate. You can find both counts on page 2968. Pin removal would be the hardest part but not too difficult to do. I’d definitely sacrifice a KO Sunstreaker to science like I did my KO Prime but I’m already double the Sun so...

    2019 will be the final year for MP-10...

    I smell an MP-10L (Convoy/Optimus Prime Last Production) coming to make room for MP-44...

    Hey, guys, hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy New Year. Haven't been online much lately, busy with work, family, and home improvements but one thing I did was finally re-do my TF-centric home office, so I hope you don't mind me sharing some shots! Cannot thank my brother @Sam enough for turning me on to these beautiful steel shelves from Ikea! They look amazing in person - even my wife is impressed! I used to have them all in a dark, outdated looking bookcase, but now my MP collection finally gets the touch of class it deserves!

    View from my desk - I'm a lucky guy! Official MPs of on-screen G1 characters. Nothing exciting pose or grouping wise here. I'll get more creative soon enough.
