Nice shots! And here I thought MP10 couldn't do the 2 handed gun hold - many cited that as a reason for wanting a V3

 

Thanks!   I actually didn't know he could do it either, but I was messing around for a bit and stumbled across that pose. Though, it's not as smooth as it looks.

Also, as your name implies, you're a BW fan. If you have any of the MPs, how would you recommend them? I'm definitely investing in Megatron, and Dinobot has also caught my interest. Wondering what others' thoughts are.

 

I think Primal is great. My feelings with Cheetor are mixed. I had trouble with his transformation to bot mode (clearance issues) and his Right shoulder becomes unpegged too easily, so I got turned off by the figure and put him in storage. I need to revisit him and re-evaluate him I think.

The upcoming Dinobot looks great in bot mode, but the price is a big turnoff TBH.

BW Megatron looks fantastic so far.

I think it’s worth dipping into BW with the primal mold though since he would make a great stand alone figure and can really pair with any of the figures so far

Those rectangles are weird. I don't see them on any of my copies. Maybe those were added for the 2nd but as far as calling it a KO or not, can't really say. The paint lines look sharper than a KO would normally be. It may very well be an official Buzzsaw.

There are no KOs with the Long Life Design logo on the box.

I have that reissue but not with me. One thing with all the reissue cassettes is they have their production date clearly visible, it's a letter and four digit code, not sure where Buzzsaw's is located though (his might not have been visible).

Btw, @BWfan86 , I don't know if anyone's claimed that MP-10 can't hold his rifle with two hands, I've done it many times over the years and posted shots. It's the scene in The Movie we're talking about, where he's mowing down Decepticons, his rifle has a second handle and he's holding both handles in his hands. Might be able to better recreate that with MPOV3, I hope! Having that Sunstreaker style wrist articulation will not only allow Optimus to be more expressive with his hands, but it'll help him aim his gun better, too.

 

Yup, though one thing I'm not a fan of with MP-10 is how his shoulders have to 'droop' to really get the proper two-handed pose. Butterfly shoulders will be amazing on an Optimus Prime

Still some great poses in him, but no one's denying that. MP-10 is still amazing.

 

BADASS. Yes, definitely agree. As much as I'm dying for OPV3, MP-10 is an incredible figure that stands on his own and a genuine landmark in our favorite line. In fact, he was the cornerstone for years! A part of me will miss see whatever new carbot in the obligatory shot rolling out of his trailer, but I'm looking forward to seeing them roll out of the new guy, too!

Thanks guys. The production stamp shows c2017 which makes sense. As this is the Long Life version and for other reasons you highlighted like the sharper paint lines it would seem that this is legit  

I’m still interested to know if anyone else has the Long Life reissue with the rectangles. @Sam - perhaps you could check whether yours has them when you next reunited with the rest of your collection.

 

Can do for sure, gonna be a while though! I think that @Dean ML picked up the reissue cassettes too, can you see those rectangles on yours DML?
