That's good to hear. No posts of any kind from him in about a month had me a little concerned.

 

So I got my Reissue Soundwave today and I love this thing! It is the textbook definition of a masterpiece! The cassettebots are all great, and Soundwave is perfect! The little diecast Soundwave packed in is a fun little plus as well! I can't wait for the chance to take some pictures and mess with him some more!

 

Would you choose Soundwave over MP-10 if you had to wait a long time before affording the other?

Hey guys I've got a couple questions if you don't mind me asking. One, bbts currently has 2 reissue mp-11's with the coronation gear. One is in stock with a coin and the other is due in April sans coin. The one with the coin is $60 more. What's up with that?
And two, who makes the mp knock offs? Are they just factory rejects or are they actually a different company?

The KOs, if you get the BB7 Yes Model version that reportedly have better QC than the official figures that have absolutely terrible QC. I'd recommend against spending $199 when you could spend $99 and end up with a better quality figure. The coins are there to ensure exclusive addicts that they're buying something supposedly unique, when in fact they're paying an extra $60 for a useless hunk of ugly metal.

 

I don't have MP-10 yet... I chose Soundwave over him simply because I think that MP-10 will be far easier to find at retail (online) when I have the money again. I didn't want to miss out on Soundwave again and get stuck with crazy eBay prices. So for that reason, yes. But if I could be sure that both would still be readily available, MP-10 would have been my first choice. Especially since the Hasbro one is the same $160 as Soundwave.

 

I agree. The official one is crazy expensive. I bought the KBB one for $80, and while it isn't a straight up copy, it is an awesome figure for a good price. The coins are cool if you care about collecting them, otherwise they're pointless.

 

Subjective opinion! I have MP11 (first TT asia reissue), MP11SW and MP11TT. MP11 is a little loose in the waist area, but otherwise all three are built fine. Yes, they are a little pricey, but I'd rather not have a KO on my shelf.

 

Yep, I'm yet to receive Skywarp and Dirge who are both on order but all my other MP-11 jets have been excellent with my only issue being a slightly loose waist on MP Thrust. Price on mine were all reasonable too (different country though). I have no reason to look at a KO.

 

Not sure why BBTS hasn't adjusted their prices based on the reissue, but I stopped using US distributors for official MPs after the first run of MP-13. You can get MP-11 for ~$112 plus probably $15 shipping from HLJ here: Transformers Masterpiece MP-11 Starscream (Reissue)

Other Japanese online shops may have it cheaper, not sure if these will ship from Amazon.jp or not. The shipping estimate is EMS (2-3 days). SAL (much slower) is probably a lot cheaper. If you really want to coin, lots of folks sell them in the BST thread here for cheap.

 

Yeah I've always wondered why none of the US E-Retailers would not change the price on the original stock of said reissue, wouldn't you think they would just to get rid of the first run, unless they intend to order less of the reissue/second run...I do need to pick up Tak's reissue of Starscream though, he's the only one I'm missing that and Tak's Sunstorm...

 

Man, I used to think I didn't care at all about Diaclone, but dammit, those look amazing.
