It's INSANE to me how much better that figure looks with that paintjob.

A beautiful mold - I just can't stand the finish / colours they chose to release it with. Breaks my heart as this was my most wished-for MP.

Second time around with the figure and it totally takes top spot for MP of the year.

I used to have that issue with the KO, both Lambor and Tigetrack. But this ono the photo is the original, so it fits well, no QC issues.

You obviously love the character, and that's cool, but there are many reasons to proclaim it as the worst MP of the year. The custom paint job helps significantly. We all see things so differently. I am very glad we all have TT and 3rd parties making MP style figures right now. Its a great time to be a Transformers fan.

Don't get me wrong, he could be taller and his knees could bend more than 90 degrees. For a long time I had Quakeblast as my Shockwave, he was a very decent made toy and for the price he puts shame on some official and 3rd party products.

The thing that bothered me the most was the colour , it does worry me what a potential Galvatron or Cyclonus will look after there colour schemes in recent Takara lines

But like you said, it is the best time to be a fan of transformers, so much variation and choice

Posting this here as well as relevant...

I finally opened MP Inferno, and there's an awful lot to be impressed with. I think above all it's the posability that's taken me by surprise, he just did not look that agile in pics but lordy, he really is. He reminds me of Backdraft but instead he has perfect tolerances and alignment, on top of that he has 2 or 3 steps of magic in the transformation, but I've not found it as fluid as Ironhide. There is some fiddling and I found myself having to go back a step then forward again. I am astonished I have not scraped or chipped paint.

I knew all about the ladder trick because everyone spoke of it and there was a lot of hype, but in hand you can actually appreciate how much stuff is crammed into a tiny space - even my wife had to marvel at the engineering there. I know if you explain it with words it's basically folding something up and tucking it in, but the finesse with which it's executed and the effect in hand of seeing it in motion - that's where the achievement is truly appreciated.

    All the best
    Maz

Man, I'm the same. The mold looks great but the colors just do NOT do it justice. Reeeeaaaaaaally hoping we'll get a toy color version someday.

"... And that's why he scratched Rumble like that.
    - Kinda deserved it, this "cats love food" song gets on the nerves pretty quickly. Anyway, that's nice we can meet like that from time to time.
    - Really relaxing, and Sigma knows we need some rest.
    - I know right ? The Wiki says we're about 5 to 1 in our little versus game. Must been exhausting for you...
    - BAH ! The Wiki, always with the Wiki ! What about those offscreen fights ?
    - 14 to 3. Hahahahaha !
    - Hahahahaha... I'll kill you next time.
    - And i'll be there waiting buddy.
    - Cheers! And merry christmas to you.
    - Merry christmas to you too."

I gave my loose specimen away, would desperately love to add a proper show-given packaged specimen to my collection.

    Congrats!
