I see your Bumblebee and raise you a Soundwave. [IMG] Only my second Metal Earth project, it took almost 4 hours of intense focus and I'm still too lazy to do Bee, Prime and Megatron at this time, so I sympathize with your effort. Broke one of the tabs that holds his shoulder cannon on, but it works fine without it.

I still need to pick up Iron Man, the Enterprise, Tie Fighter, X-wing, Guitar and Mustang P-51 sets. It would be nice if they did Nemesis Prime and Soundblaster in black anodized metal as well.

    And a Motorcycle.

Although it takes a long time, if you enjoy building things and/or puzzles, the time goes really really quickly! It didn't feel like I spent that much time.

Nice! I'm super excited to do Soundwave, but didn't want to do him just yet as I wanted more practice so I don't screw him (and Laserbeak!) up.

I got all but like 2 of the Star Wars kits, the rest of the Transformers, and the SR-71. Built the SR-71 and Star Destroyer before this one. Also got Iron Man, but again, he's a tough one so need to practice a little more. Looking forward to the gold C-3PO that's coming!

Been sharing this in a few places, but I'm working on my G1 meets Masterpiece display... The only bad thing is that the gaps in MP are even more glaring now :p

I'll update the pic when TW Devastator comes in and MP Ratchet. Plus, by then the heavy duty risers should come in for the Dinobots :)

    Enjoy!

Not handy, but I'll get shots of the individual shelves for you this evening or tomorrow #TacoTuesday

I do have this one as I was showing off the before and after risers:

Very nice display! Thanks for sharing. Are those Billy bookcases?

I love that TW Scrapper is the same height as G1 Devy in leg mode.

I was chuckling at TW Scrapper being the same height as G1 for a while. Makes me want to get him even more. Great display. I've got to figure out how to do something like that.

That is one impressive display! Thanks for sharing.

I was thinking the same thing. Sometimes I forget how much bigger the MPs actually are, and then a comparison like that brings it all into perspective.

Yep, white Billys with glass shelves ... And I had the same thought about Scrapper compared to the whole G1 Devestator :p

Awesome. I'm contemplating getting a Billy for my MP display. Space for me is at a premium with other collectibles in the mix and I think I can get more display space in one Billy for the same or less amount of real estate as two Detolfs because of their added height and less width and depth. Your pics give me an idea of what to expect. Thanks.

    No problem!

I love that they're actually cheaper in white than any other color and the glass replacement shelves are only $5 or $10 if it's the 15 vs 30in shelves!!

Yeah, I think I'm gonna go with the glass shelves too. Looks classy being glassy. One of the things I'll miss moving my MPs out of the Detolfs.

My main issue with detolfs is that my ceilings are too high (not a complaint) but the scale of the Detolfs to my room just doesn't work

And the glass is a decision I will never regret --- it classes up some very cheap shelving...

I used to scoff at the cost of nice shelves, but displaying a cluttered mess on cheap stuff just doesn't make all that hard earned money look like it's worth anything... My main mission was "look like a freaking museum so that even non collectors are impressed."

What I spend for a single figure vs the cost to display them, it was easy to figure out!

Nice collection. I have the Billy cases in birch wood but I love the glass shelves look.

Agreed. Having nice display shelves/cabinets makes all the difference to really make a collection stand out.

Here's a quick dirty shot of my current display. Sorry it's sideways. Don't strain your necks.
