Hey what's the deal with MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA ? I was reading more My Hero Academia and it stops after chapter 3 and jumps straight to chapter 254 and ask me to wait till they fill everything in-between? Do they not have them translated and released in book form already?

I began reading Kazuo Umezu' 1972 horror classic"The Drifting Classroom". This is pretty intense stuff so far. I can see how the works of Umezu helped inspire a younger Junji Ito to become a mangaka himself. Timely reading too since the characters are dealing with a quarantine of sorts while they're figuring out what happened with disturbing outcomes. I'm only about 5 chapters in, but I already say this is recommended reading.

Way things are going for the industry anything could happen.
WB is in trouble because of AT&t buying it, but in better shape because AT&T distribute phone and internet to a lot of people and people are using it a lot right now.
Disney in major money trouble because they used it all to launch Disney+ and buy fox. Now they owe billions and have just borrowed billions just to pay what they owe and keep the wolves at bay. Disney World and land closed, Cruises closed, and movies pushed back. Major major trouble. Bankruptsy not out of the question if this goes on too long.
CBS/Viacom CBS all access has been losing money and viewers hand over fist. Just bought back CBS so now they too owe more money.
Sony and Paramount have been shakey for years so no one knows for sure.
Everything is up in the air depending on how long this lasts.

Finally got the complete run of My Hero Academia and MHA Vigilantes thanks to their recent sales. I've seen most of the show, but I'm reading the manga from the start and finishing it before I finish season 4.

I'm about half way through Monster Musume as well. I love how the Japanese can be both endearingly sweet and hornball naughty all in one series.

The next English language Konosuba light novel is coming up this week. Vol. 11. I've already got it on preorder. I heard that it was ending in Japan this Spring with Vol. 17. I'm still hoping that it was just a cruel April Fool's gag. The author's other light novel series is entertaining enough to pass away a rainy afternoon, but it's not as much as fun as Konosuba.

I really want to start grabbing a few more manga and light novels, especially DanMachi. I've been avoiding the anime so I can enjoy the books first.

Since this is a “review” thread, I thought I post some differences between Gundam : The Origin with its animated counterpart (43 episodes).

I’m re-reading the series (probably skipping Char’s backstory as I want to focus on the exploits of the White Base crew) is from Vertical and comes in 12 volumes.

Overall, the manga follows the main plot points of the anime series with some deviations along the way.

Do not read the spoilers if one does not want to be spoilt.

    Vol. 1 differences (in general).

    Not in order...

    1. Char doesn’t make a sortie to Side 7 in the manga, hence his first encounter with his sister Sayla is on Luna Base.

    2. Amuro doesn’t join the assault on Char’s Musai on WB’s journey to Luna II Base. Leaving Ryu to lead the attack.

    3. The Guncannon and Guntank are NOT part of the Project V but were mobile suits that preceded the Gundam (RX-78 series)

Hence the Gundam fight with the Zaku I never occurred...kinda disappointed about that aspect.

    4. Instead of 3 Zaku IIs infiltrating Side 7, there were 5 or 6.

2 or 3 were taken out by the RX-78-01, piloted by “Ash”.

2 were taken by Amuro just like the anime.

    Vol. 2

    1. Amuro’s attempt (via core fighter) to send a signal Jaburo doesn’t occur.

The Gundam does not have a core fighter at this stage.

    2. Garma’s last stand doesn’t occur in “New Yark” but Los Angeles.

    3. The mayor of LA is gunned down after Garma’s death. Apparently, his daughter (Garma’s main squeeze) is not dead until the anime.

    4. The WB crew does not stop to acquire “salt” in the manga.

    5. The Gundam is equipped with the left shoulder cannon (Amuro’s idea) to fight Garma’s forces.

That’s all for now..hopefully, I can continue updating the differences.
