Can Disney please diversify their acting pool? I'm tired of seeing the same fucking actors across their properties.

 

They just added Christian Bale, Rosario Dawson, is Ryan Gosling in Thor now? Plus the cast of the Eternals. All the new people in Black Widow.

My "animosity" towards Brie Larson begins and ends with her being a terrible actress. Not sure what the big deal there is?

It’s as if Disney isn’t the biggest movie studio in the world right now. Besides the fact there is hardly any overlap.

This has more to do with Brie Larson than anything else. But of course it does.

 

I would've expected a more mature response from her. Not only she failed to mention that she hasn't acted in live action in 13 years but all of her roles were either in Z level Disney channel and Nickelodeon shows or just single episode cameos. If she wasn't informed on this (which I also don't think is true) she shouldn't have either commented or just show support on the matter and move on.

 

Sorry, but what exactly is your problem with this? Sounds like she's been bombarded with questions and those @ comments everyone makes on social media, and just seems to simply be addressing it in a very professional & diplomatic way. What's NOT mature about this? And more over, why in the hell would she mention how long it's been since she acted or make fun of the kind of shows she was in when it comes to a statement like this? That makes no sense.

What exactly was immature here? She's not saying "I WANTED TO PLAY HER IT SHOULD BE ME!" She's just saying she isn't involved and can't comment on what she's involved in. About the only point that could be construed in the way you're suggesting is where she comments that it's been "her dream" to play Ahsoka in all mediums, BUT she follows that up with the final decisions for the character not being her's to make. I'm sorry, but there's nothing immature about this post.

Mandalorian Season 2 Reportedly Casts Michael Biehn As Another Bounty Hunter

 

What's the point announcing other actors stuffed inside a helmet from a Clan that doesn't take off their helmet ..unless they are married and shows their face once like Mando did.

Name recognition, I would imagine. Pedro Pascal and Michael Biehn are fan favorite actors due to their (lauded) past performances in franchise media. Jon Favreau as the Heavy Armed Mando is just a bit of fun in a similar vein as Daniel Craig donning a First Order Stormtrooper outfit.

Also, there's no word as to if Biehn will be another Mando, only that he's another bounty hunter (who may not need to wear a helmet and hide his face at all).

I'm not sure I like the Mara Jade rumors. If they were going to introduce Mara Jade, Rise of Skywalker was really the last good opportunity. It could have been neat to reveal that Mara Jade was killed when Ben betrayed Luke, and that was part of the reason for Luke's depression. But now Luke is gone. It would be weird to reveal Luke's wife, wen he didn't mention her in TLJ or TROS.

I suppose they could introduce Mara Jade and skip the part where she marries Luke. But I'm not sure I like cherry picking stuff from the EU like that. If they're going to use these popular characters, they should probably keep the iconic aspects of them intact.

Supposedly she was very good in past movies. I'm not sure what happened with Captain Marvel. I almost wonder if she was told to act very bland because they hadn't fully decided on the character's personality yet. I'm hoping she improves.

Strangely, there are old interviews where she was very likable and warm. Which is weird, because she's infamous for being unlikable in the MCU interviews. Something is very weird with that movie. It's almost like she was putting on a persona or something.
