I like this cause it stays small. Any "big bad guy" runs into the issue of being insignificant because Palpatine is still out there preparing his forces.

 

I get what your saying but...

contrary to what our modern times would love us to believe, there was actually a time when people had an insane amount of honor and integrity. It really did exist in history. It’s a huge component of “golden age” story telling.

 

Sadly, storytelling is all it was. While poets waxed on about how much better the world was and honorable the men in it were long ago, we can look at the first hand accounts of that period to find out we were the same as we always were and the poets then praised an even older "Golden Age". The truth is that honor codes have always been about attempting to curtail the brutality of war, and have never been particularly successful.

Anyways, I hope the next season doesn't take this 'rightful ruler of Mandalore' thing too seriously. Strange men distributing swords is no basis for a system of governance.

 

Those have nothing to with what amounts to trial by combat. There's no honour in insisting on a death match with a man who is willingly giving you what you want because to him it holds no value or interest.

 

Well, no... it seemed like only one person in the room was worried about that. Which is why I broke down the characters as I did.

I love how they made Disney’s Hamill look super blurry in the thumbnail.

Like come on guys, really? Doesn’t that kinda hurt your point of who did the better effects if you have to deliberately alter the original in the thumbnail just to get clicks?

I watched that video. Personally, I think the version in the show looks better. I do think these guys did a better job with expressions, I do sort of wish Mandalorian Luke had a bit more emotion. But he sort of looks like a video game character here.

 

christ, looks like they really did. couldn't tell on my phone. I want to give them the benefit of a doubt because YT thumbnails are limited to 720p tall and the D+ video is stuck at 1080p tall with the black bars, meaning most of the D+ original widescreen content on there are only about 800 tall, but they do make clickbait thumbnails to get more views. Heck, they renamed their Half Life 2 video as Half Life Alyx in order to bank on the VR game's release

Somehow I still am okay with CGI faces. They don't bother me at all. However, deepfakes freak me out since I can almost always see the outline of where their faces were replaced.

 

The hair looked worse on the Corridor Crew Luke. It looked like a plastic helmet.

 

That's a wig. Cheap ones usually are plastic.

Mark Hamill is so unbelievably real. Shame he didn't remark on the bullshit thumbnail.

 

Honestly, the Mandalorian version is better. Corridor's looks fake and out of place, like mostly all of their videos besides maybe the Boston Dynamics video.

I stopped watching Corridor's videos a while ago. I'm interested in what they do, but they pack the videos full of such buffoonery and needless "cool".

I hate this artist. Makes me cringe so hard. He sings a particularly horrible song about Baby Yoda that my younger sister is quite fond of for whatever reason.

This one is good, though. I liked it. So funny.

 

Was watching episodes with Boba again. Temuera Morrison seems more viscous playing Boba Fett in the Mandalorian than he did with his role as Jango Fett or Voice Dubbing the Original Trilogy.

 

Maybe someone told him to channel a little of Jake the Muss from his early days.
