the magnus hammer don't know about anyone else here but i smell a gaogaigar homage in the works when it comes to end game part 2 i wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if optimus actually does pull off that goldion hammer haomage as he fights megatron for possibly the final time
Well while you could look at it that way I always felt the fact it could emit electricity to be more of a reference to Mjollnir, Thor's hammer. Of course while there may have been elements in the design taken from the Goldion Hammer a large hammer is a reasonably generic kind of weapon. I guess we'll know if this is the case, if Optimus shouts out "MEGATRON, BECOME LIGHT!"
Isn't there another Gai... whatever it is reference in Animated? I don't remember what it was though...
LOL....just thinking that if the art and animation were done in that style for this final fight with the Magnus Hammer....that would've been the entire budget for the episode. But it would've been one minute and forty-one seconds of awesomeness.
If only American cartoons were that wonderfully detailed, amazingly fantatsic, robot-tastic. That clip was found on the Websters online addition definition of WIN. The clip so greatly and completely over shadows whatever it is we're supposed to be gibbering about I won't be able to pull myself to even in the direction of the of the original subject. Like showing me wing of a random plane and then comparing it to a personal 5G flight in an SR71 through a tornado....... on the moon. I hope I made myself clear.
That clip is funny... she makes this huge epic deal of sliding a card. xD Ah, Japan. How we love your anime.
it would so totally make sense for optimus and the magnum hammer to go supergold inthe final moments of the fight hell the same thing happened when prime fought galvatron for the final time at the very tail end of transformers cybertron if anything they could probably explain the whole golde effect away as being due to prowl in his dieing moments having channeled his spark into the magnus hammer to impower it and optimus to defeat megatron with it being a case of burning justice as it were.
It's probably some sort of homage. The design team has folders full of cool robot designs from all over so it's entirely possible that they referenced the Goldion Hammer in the design process. Although both hammers basically recall the original hammer of power Mjolner, and Ultra Magnus' Magnus Hammer has the thunder aspects of it too. at Timmy Mallet's Mallet
maybe its just me but when it comes to optimus and the magnus hammer i could all to easily see him using the magnus hammer to drive the handle end of his battle axe through megatrons chest/lasercore/sparkchamber and finishing the move with his using the axes flight booster feature to yank the spark out with they pull the scene off just right they could most likely explain the super gold look with it being due to the magnus hammer being in synch with primes spark with the hammer impowering both optimus prime himself and the the axe and magnus hammer to pull off the complete homage now is it just me or would that be a very suitable yuusha brave homage right there
