EDIT: And, are the problems with the VF-0A really that bad? I have heard of shattering shoulders, seeping plastic joints (whatever that is?), and so on. I am very careful with my stuff, so I am not so worried about fragile problems, but ones where there are flaws in the figure are harder to deal with (I have several MP Seekers and MP Megs, and never had a single problem, for example).

EDIT2: I am looking at the VF-0A released last May, if that matters.

Thanks. AmiAmi is exactly where I am looking, and the 50% is exactly why I am so very tempted to order it right now! I just want to make sure that I wont regret it because of poor design or QC issues.

 

And, of course, an additional 3000Y for the stand puts the final product at 11K... which is about the same as the VF-27, SV-51 and others, and stops it being quite such a bargain!

Now that we're not getting the VF-0D anymore I dont' really need anymore of that lineup. But that 50% discount is pretty tempting.

 

Yeah. Its stated as released last May 2010. I just pulled the trigger on this one. The other two figures that I want are pre-order to be released next year, so the order can wait.

 

The yamato stand is ok, but the flightstand might be better for you, offers a lot of flexibility.

The shattering shoulders are not on the 2010 reissues. Only the 1st run VF-0S from a few years back, and the 1st run VF-0A's, including the Shin bundle with GHOST. I did have stress marks form on my reissue, and the rubber is seeping out of the arms, which may eventually lead to looseness.

Thanks. That makes me feel more secure about it. The whole rubber-seeping-out-of-the-joints sounds both really painful and scary! What is this exactly?

Also, I assume that AmiAmi will send me an invoice shortly regarding the order, at least when they have back-ordered the stand? I went with the Yamato version as I want something as secure as I can get.
