Has Bandai put out a release date for DX YF-21? I will be in JP next month and it would be great to get one in person.

Hopefully one day Bandai will make 1/48 scale Valks for series other than the original Macross. It would solve the problem of the shoulder joints plus they wouldn't look so tiny and skinny next to the DX VFs.

Plot twist but hoping Bandai makes a more toyetic perfect transformation mainline of VFs starting with the Sunrise anime on the way and to expand by making toys from previous Macross series, but designed/engineered by either PLEX or the people behind Tiny Sessions. Leave the collectors stuff for the DX line or other companies that tend to do a better job like Arcadia.

Yes please, 1/48 YF-19 would be the shit. Would need ratchets out da azz though. Would become a floppy pos if not within couple x of handling it.

Dunno. HMR, which I have several of, doesn't scratch the itch Arcadia does at 1:60, and, although it may not always be realized, the higher 1:48 scale obviously allows for a lot more.

It really makes me marvel that, aside from human figures, KCs greatest accomplishment was to show up Bandai for not doing light and sound effects at 1:48 when they have done it, at least lights, at 1:72.

If Bandai took up that gauntlet, it would be glorious.

I'm fine with leaving light and sound effects out if it meant keeping overall price down, as I would rarely, if ever, use them. There are tiny 3p transformer legends figures that I have that have light up features that I still haven't bothered to utilized yet and likely never will.

If they do add light up features, the only one I think I would actually care for is a light up visor so long as it doesn't affect the sculpt or articulation of the head (like the Toynami Masterpiece VF-1s did... man, I hated those things). Gun, canopy, etc., I can do without light up features.

With a bigger scale, I'd rather have Bandai add things like integrated side chest panel fillers and the pop out "magic hand" used for repairs over light/sound effects or more tampos, or aesthetic stuff like panel lining which I'm not a big fan of.

Not surprisingly that Gamilin is right behind Guld, no doubt that M&M’s version will follow as well.

Interesting note on the HG19 & 21 but while both 19 and 21 are in fighter mode, the 19 uses pretty much the lower end of the robot and the 21 uses the upper so what to do with the extra upper and lower of the torsos? Lol

And no,it doesn't plug in securely.
