Next is rearrange the room for the next Valkyrie. :D  Mirage's 31AX and Max's 29 are now invading the Star Wars shelf while I rearrange displays.

I'd buy a Milia version in a heartbeat.

Hopefully your inner child wins that debate and swooshes that thing around the bedroom for the next couple days. I don't think I could keep it in the package for more than an hour.

    Ebay:
Was cleaning my one shelf and moved my Wave SDF-1 which was in ship mode and it all untabbed. Well, didn't really untab since it really doesn't have tabs and relies entirely on friction and precise placement of joints for the ship mode to hold. I've had it with this thing. It's fantastic for the mech mode, but it's another one of those figures where diecast was added for "a premium feel" but which ruins the overall experience. The diecast is fine for mech mode where the weight is in the "feet", but in ship mode it's like a 12" ruler with a brick tacked on one end. The ship mode never held together well because of it and even when it did it had a noticeable limp of the back end due to the diecast weight. Balancing it on the stand was always a chore too because the post is at the midpoint of the ship which does nothing to counter the brick on the end of a ruler effect. Yeah it looked great, but I'm done with it.

Just bought a Megahouse which is about the same size, and I know I overpaid drastically for what it is exactly. It's the TV version at least, which is the deco I really prefer. Watching reviews I see the common complaint that "it's light!", and I'm like "GOOD!". For what I'm seeing in these videos, this is going to do what I always wanted the Wave to do. Eh, probably should have tried one of the "ship only" models first, but I remember wanting the Megahouse when I found out it existed, but talked myself out of because I already had the Wave.

Meh, just posting to vent mainly......

I had both and I like the Megahouse one a lot more, pretty much for all the reasons you said.

Hello, Does anyone have the order/pre-order link for the HI METAL R Vermillion Team? I am having trouble finding the order page while using google translate. I am mainly looking for a retail price VF-1J after getting my Kitzconcept God of Flame. Kitzconcept has a deal right now for the 3 but I understand that Bandai and others have a better build quality. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!

That deal through KC is actually a decent one, IMO. If you are happy enough with your God of Flame, you might consider it. The Bandai HMR figures are more fun to handle, but they will be way out of scale with your KC figure.

These are made to order items exclusive through the Tamashii Webshop, so unless you have a friend in Japan able to buy them on your behalf, you’ll have to go through stores in Japan/Asia that are buying them from the Tamashii Webshop and reselling them, the following of which are still taking preorders which you have to pay for once you place your order:

    BigInJapan:

    Max
Macross - HI-METAL R VF-1A Valkyrie Maximilian Jenius Use - Big in Japan

    Kakizaki
    Cart - Big in Japan

    Premium Luna Park

    Max
HI-METAL R VF-1A Valkyrie (Maximilian Jenius) Japan version

    Kakizaki
HI-METAL R VF-1A Valkyrie (Hayao Kakizaki) Japan version

Keep in mind these are smaller scale(”around 1/100 scale”) according to Bandai) VF-1As than KitzConcept’s VF-1s. Build quality and fit for Bandai’s HI METAL R VF-1 is better than KitzConcept. The landing gear and heat shield/canopy are swappable parts, not retractable.

For a retail priced VF-1, if you want one without armor, keep an eye out for any that turn up on Mandarake:
    Mandarake Online Shop

    Some show up used, sometimes
they’re storefront items which have been on display MISB then placed for sale later.

The HI METAL R VF-1J Armored Valkyrie Revival/TV version was released recently as a mass market release. Might want to bookmark the order pages for it at HLJ or AmiAmi to see if they ever restock(they sometimes do, just not frequently and you can’t tell when they will):

Okini land has the recent TV VF-1S + Super set and the armor + VF-1J set in stock for retail price. And they are still taking orders for Max and Kakizaki VF-1As:

    Search

Looks like around USD $360 plus shipping for all four.

I want it in Hikaru VF-1J colors but in grey instead of white and hopefully less translucent plastic for the body overall(you can see light through the wings of the VF-0S at some angles).

Yeah, with the wings I used (that allow for the missile attachments), you can see light shining through around the edges. Though I haven't checked the other wings to see if they're fully translucent. If they make a Hikaru use, it'd make me want to get the rest of the Vermillion squadron lol.

Nadda clue. I was focusing in on that 11 :p  Ever since the one I had broke (stupid leg), and I got rid of it...I've been kinda wanting a replacement one or a "newer" one that won't break on me when it's in the box :lol
