Does anybody know where I can get Bandai Hi-Metal R stands? Got the latest VF-1S and now I need a stand for it, and would like to match the design of it with the stands that came with Max and Myria VF-1J
You want Tamashii stands. The Mechanics ones preferably, since those would look like the VF-1J stands.
Got my DX Angel Birds VF-1A in. If this isn’t your 1st DX VF-1, there’s not much difference compared to previous releases. However my copy has a few: The hip bar rotates/wobbles in place unintentionally in battroid mode. I have the swing bar detached to use the waist swivel. The hip bar is supposed to stay in place by clicking into the pelvis and there’s a grey clasp that tabs in from behind. This tab doesn’t stay in securely and from the side, it looks like it’s because the clasp isn’t aligned completely parallel. It’s as if there’s something making it connect at a very slight angle, as if the plastic is just slightly thicker than previous releases. The tab itself has a lip to help it hook into the slot but it doesn’t really work. While this hip bar(and the hinged door that covers it) tend to move on their own on my other DX VF-1s, I noticed the wobble more on this one. Thankfully the hip bar just rotates/wobbles into place without falling out of the pelvis. The heat shield has a light grey paint app that seems like it matches the DYRL? VF-1s whereas it would’ve made more sense to match the brighter white base color of the Angel Birds VF-1. This isn’t something I noticed until I transformed it. It definitely looks out of place. I do like how the ellipse parts on the hip bars aid in hiding the hip bars visually in battroid mode. It’s a means to make the joints look a lot less obvious. I like the transformation overall, it’s largely intuitive with the only thing slowing you down being the differing tolerances amongst the many moving parts. If the swing bar stayed attached more securely during transformation, it would speed up the process. Also with the DX VF-1A, I find it easier just to detach and reattach the head during transformation. Not much clearance for the head laser. Luckily the neck connection is just a ball joint so it’s not hard to reattach.
Speaking of the 21, have Bandai given us anything more than a few teases/promo pics of a DX version? Do you know if there was ever a mention of an upcoming preorder?
No,Nope,NADA.! Toy Overlords are waiting for me to go broke or have too much shit on my plate before they announce a PO lol I've even talked myself out from a PS5 as the Dx 21 is my Top Priority purchase. (and also a fairly priced Yammie 21)
Soooooo.... Monthly check,Anyone in the states got an invoice from HLJ for their HG YF-19 yet?? Lol Anyways dunno if this has been posted yet: ^Regarding an HG YF-21...
Can you do a backwards kick? I wanna know if it can hold the weight on 1 leg and if the other leg can hold itself in the air. Much appreciated. BTW, what did it cost you to get it delivered to your home? Google Image Result for https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-7a21d77be767ad04153420174c161b7b.webp something like this.
It can technically do it…but I wouldn’t leave it posed like this! Edit: Klan’s rack is providing zero structural support here!
I noticed the Arcadia YF-19 comes with mounting parts for the fold booster...but no fold booster. Did Arcadia ever release a fold booster themselves? I did a little digging and found that Yamato released one years ago that, apparently, is compatible with the Arcadia. Is that the one we have to track down if we want a compatible fold booster??
Yep. I think a ways back they posted a picture on Twitter with a gold booster in it, which is sometimes how they tease upcoming products. But then the reissue came along and… still had everything included except the fold booster. it remains to be seen if one will be included with the premium finish 19, whenever that comes along.
