Any product made from a series/movie released after 1987 can be domestically distributed in the US. SDF/DYRL is off limits for now.

However…..there’s a Macross The First manga that came out within the last 10-15 years which did have slightly redesigned VF-1s and armor packs for the VF-1 that were unique to that series. Not sure if the designs would be different enough from SDF to work as a workaround but…here’s to hoping.

Bandai had a partnership with Toynami over 10 years ago and they did bring over the Origin of Valkyrie VF-1s. With Bluefin around now, I’m not sure how it would work out.

It’d be cool if the Macross the First manga could end up being localized (and finished)

Oh dear... Threezero is good but I don't want to support Harmony Gold. This is a conundrum.

I would gladly pass on this if that's the case but in the event ThreeZero produces something that transforms and it's really well done, I just don't like thinking about it.

Big West had HG by the balls. They were winning in regions outside of the US. I would have accepted having Macross locked by HG just in the US but Big West gaining SDFM and DYRL for the rest of the world. I would have gladly accepted that. I would have ordered in the EU region or Canada to get my Macross fix.

Magnets are still good on mine and my yammie's in the forever-fold-fighter mode:

    yammie-yf19fp-fold.jpg

It's the only mode that's rather still decent with it.

I somehow just don't like equipping my Arcadia YF-19 with the fold-thingy...

Well we already have DX for the transformable one so I hope 3zero can do a premium action figure like their dlx and robo-dou line.
I know most of you dont like it that way.
Curious to see how this will come out

I’m open to new contenders that are transformable especially since I’ve heard great things about 3zero’s other robot toys.

Threezero going to up the game?

Not holding my breath as it will possibly look like their stylized Transformers Bayverse (or whatever). I might be interested but with Garmony Holdy having a play in it, it’s a maybe.

I’m with you on this - Not stoked that it’s under Harmony Gold’s banner, but ThreeZero makes the best bang-for-buck robot toys currently available. Their Evangelion figures are wonderful by any metric; doubly so for the price.

A transforming ThreeZero valk will be nigh-on impossible for me to pass on.

The new one can ne found for 199 euro. It realistically could go for the same price. There is very little reason from a cost perspective from Bandai to make the YF-19 more expensive than the new one. So honestly I'm hoping for a reasonable price, which I personally feel is already too expensive for what you're getting. Even though I'm willing to pay that ridiculous amount, (which somehow doesn't seem ridiculous here), I wouldn't feel comfortable paying much more than that. 200 is not cheap for this. It's cheap compared to scalper prices, but for a transforming plastic jet of that size it is not. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion ofcourse. So personally, I'm hoping for a reasonable price like around the 200 mark.

I think that IF Bandai decides to sell the DX YF-19 barebones, it can be at the same price as the WWM VF-25 as that one is barebones as well. However, the full pack DX YF-19 was 25K yen to begin with, so don't expect it to be less than 200€ if reissued as is.

I have a feeling the 3Z will be transformable. The VF-1 isn't too complicated and other mfgs have already paved the way. 3Z's already done a transformable toy with the Votoms Scopedog. Then we have the upcoming Dancouga and Galient. We'll see how those will turn out. So far all the 3Z figures I owned are high quality with excellent paint jobs and a very reasonable price point. If they continue that trend with the VF-1s, I am in.

Yep yep, if it transforms then sign me the fuck up. If its just a figure like their TFs, I will be happy enough just enjoying other people’s pics.

Really hoping it transforms. I have zero doubts they would make something superior to the DX. While I’d feel a bit dirty supporting HG, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it because I’d also be supporting one of THE best toy makers in the business.

Shit…I just realized the Robotech banner would also allow them to make a Legioss. Whoo-boy…I’m getting woozy thinking about a transformable ThreeZero Legioss.

If they makes stuff from Mospeada and it transforms, then I'll be in a difficult situation regarding keeping or not my current Sentinel figures...
