Geez and now you guys see why stuff gets deleted so don’t complain when stuff gets removed. This is a thread for Macross toys, not social justice, politics, other anime, other completely unrelated series, et al. There’s social media and plenty of other sites to discuss that stuff like Reddit or elsewhere.

do you guys think Bandai will re-release the rest of YF 29 lines in the new format same as 2020 Alto's. I just got Alto's YF 29 and really like it, both the matte paint finish and the new joint design.
Also if Bandai can do YF 25 2.0 that would be great

I think the popular 29 will get re-issued: Ozma. Don't know about Dyson's or R.B. (Banana ear) version.

My guess is that no other YF-29 versions from the original run will get a re-issue (not popular / recognizable / shown in the movies, and Frontier was long enough ago that I don’t think the interest would be there for rando repaints again), but we may get a new color scheme YF-29 for 40th anniversary.

I'd love a 25 as well since I don't want to chance the releases out now and really love that design.

Hopefully but hard to say. Actually I’m surprised the YF-29 was retooled with the new hips over the VF-25F Renewal. Good thing is, the redesigned hip should be interchangeable between the YF-29 and Renewal VF-25/27s, so I think we’re likely to see it put to use again. Maybe not for all of the VF-25/27s though.

In truth though I’d much rather see the shoulder and hips retooled with ratchet joints for the VF-25s and VF-27s. The ratcheting hips is part what makes the DX VF-31 such an improvement over the Macross Frontier DXs.

Please buy the following preferably all at once:
    • VF-11B
    • VF-11C
    • VF-17
    • YF-21
    • VF-22S
    • VF-171
    • VF-171EX

I’d take a renewal+ 25 Ozma full armor set and Michael. Might as well do a R+ 27 Luca as well. Please spread these releases out at least a couple years, lol!

You monster. I'll give you the VF-11B for sure. With all the complaints and issues I've read about the Vf-171s they put out, I'm surprised they haven't done a brand new tooling of it considering it's been in 2 modern series rather prominently (granted the VF-171 they had in Delta was the 171EX model, but still).

According to Google Photos, it's been roughly two years since Bandai released the DX VF-1J, hard to believe it took them that long to get to the VF-1S Roy

I'm just glad I was able to get Roys Dx 1s at all. Paid a minor late tax but I'm not losing sleep over it. Would rather pay this minor late tax than down the road like what I'm goin thru with my hunt for the Dx 1j. Fingers crossed for a Reissue or for a 1j with the GBP armor.

I hope Bandai retools or redesigns both that DX VF-25F Renewal version and the Armored Messiah parts mounted to it. Room for improvement on both; ratchets for hips/shoulders on the VF-25, more sturdy removal for the heavy missles on the armor and a built-in adapter to mount both the VF-25 standard gunpod in addition to Mikhail’s VF-25G Sniper rifle in fighter mode at the same time like in the series finale.

It needs to be redone almost from the ground up. The sculpt and deco was never an issue, it looks the part, everything else was the issue, it’s just a lemon(moreso on the mass production VF-171s compared to the EXs). Primary things I’d aim for in a redesign are the following:
    • Permanent wing connection with pylon mounting spots open
    • Simplified hand retraction
    • Simplified leg transformation(currently runs the risk of breaking due to being over engineered a lot more than it should be, you’ll see if you transform it)
    • Possibly most importantly, a lower torso that locks together securely solid as a rock. This was probably my biggest complaint aside from randomly self destructing black plastic pieces on my mass production DX VF-171
Bandai need not look further than themselves for how to make a better DX VF-171 toy. Their very own DX 1/65 VF-17 from the mid 1990’s features a very similar basis for transformation but extremely more pleasant and straightforward. As kiddified and toyetic as that thing looks, it’s much more enjoyable to me than their DX VF-171s.

    This is amazing XD

I had that VF-17 and HATED it XD I felt like I was gonna break that thing thanks to the plastic quality... but better than the leg swivel snapping off (seen my share of casualties while looking for a used one). Let's hope the next installment of Macross is still within the same time bracket as Frontier and Delta so Bandai has an excuse to use the VF-171 model in the show... and remake it in toy form XD
