Hahahaha, noooo. I'm going to be good. Besides the only two I'd really want are the Tomahawk (of course) and the Phalanx. Although I love the Defender and Spartan as well. Long ago I missed out at buying the Robotech equivalent to the Phalanx (I believe that it was a Matchbox one). I was a kid and didn't save enough to buy it and the other toy I wanted at the same time. So yeah, I missed it and partially regret it now. Yeah you are bad with this addiction. You're going to get me to want to buy the Destroids now.
I see where this is headed. Even when I was just a lurker I still fell for all the addiction-enabling posts. You don’t have to work very hard to convince me; the HMR support and enemy mechs tempt me every day.
Damn it, missed the HLJ window by like... 8 mins I am guessing... EDIT, nope was longer than that. Serves me right for unplugging for a few hours.
Well, then perhaps I can add to it. Due to the thumbnail...I probably shouldn't post the link here, but look up a YouTube channel called "ScorchedEarthToys." And then look for the video title: Bandai HMR Destroid Monster Review. Before hitting play...just take a look at the beautiful thing you see. Oh and the toy is also awesome too, though I don't own one.
I’m not a Gundam guy so Gunpla Meli didn’t take for me, but the Macross flavor of this particular one is right up my alley.
Money well spent is what happened. Have you looked into the VF-4? It might be my favorite VF in the HI METAL R line.
Oh man. I’m going to bed before someone posts a discount listing for an HMR Monster or Regult set on Manda or Jungle. Hehehehe.
I have. That was going to be my next VF purchase before I decided to take the DX plunge. It’s still calling to me though.
It’s great, transforms well and is more articulated than it may initially seem, especially with the joints for the shoulders.
Don’t have pics of the newest VF-4G yet but... https://www.amazon.co.jp/HI-METAL-超...ライトニングiii&qid=1594706824&sprefix=vf-4g&sr=8-1
Yep! I’d seen the Scorched Earth review and was amazed at the poses he was pulling off. I’m more SDFM and DYRL focused as a collector with a little bit of Plus and Zero, but the VF4 just looked fantastic. Just a matter of time before one winds up on my shelf I suppose.
Due to how the shoulders are jointed and arranged, it has better arm articulation than the 1/60 VF-4 by Yamato/Arcadia. Also has some satisfying detents for the limbs that enable it to bend the limbs further than 1 would expect.
Guess what @Srayleigh... You asked for it and your going to see this listing regardless. Jungle: HMR Regult for 12.1k yen sealed - Bandai Macross VF HI-METAL R Regult | JUNGLE Special Collectors Shop HMR Regult set for 25.3k yen sealed - Bandai Macross VF HI-METAL R Regult Missile Type Set | JUNGLE Special Collectors Shop * The problem is that Jungle doesn't send stuff by EMS if your country is on the suspended list * I'm one of the many enablers here, so sooner or later: Hook, Line and Sinker! We're going to reel you in like a fish looking for grub in the waters.
You almost had me on the Regult set. Almost. If they had EMS that sucker would be on its way already. Hell, I’d probably have bought both and started plotting my display. Score 1 for the bank account (for once)!!
Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the HMR VF-4G I HAD to buy for a personal reason. I haven't transformed it yet since I love the beautiful jet mode. Plus I have it sitting on the stand looking like the one that Hikaru takes and plays with (I know it is not the same variant that Hikaru plays with). Edit: Man, I had some terrible grammar there when I used my phone.
