no, it does not seem to be getting any worse, and the area is fairly thick plastic, so fingers crossed that this will end up a non-issue. i just figured i'd better make everyone aware of it just in case. just something to keep our eyes on... Also... Mikuru Asahina prays for Kyo-Ani....
Looks like someone has gotten Chuck from Manda for 22k yen (unopened, package damaged). Mandarake Don't worry too much if you can't get Chuck's right now. I'm sure that more listing will be available in the next few weeks and hopefully it will be within your budget range. Edit: This is the only DX valk has a foldable randome, so it might go fairly quickly given to its uniqueness. Got my copy of Chuck's 31e delivered 10 mins ago via DHL from AmiAmi. Have not cracked open the box as I will later on this week.
Oh...don't mind me. I'm just in sticker hell applying decals to my Yammie 1/48 1J Stealth while I wait for Chuck to arrive tomorrow. This is one of the reasons I don't collect back in time haha. But, I do love this stealth, so it's a labor of love. Will post when I'm finished at some point.
I don't know if this is of any use to any of you, but here it is. I scanned my old Takatoku VF-1J sticker sheet today and cleaned up all of the crud around the various graphics. The result is attached. I also added a mm scale rule across the top so you can scale the sheet as needed if you decide to try printing this out. I am also considering doing a remastered version of the sticker sheet using all new graphics (although I'm going to have to take a wild ass guess as to what some of the tiny notes actually say). Enjoy...I hope someone finds this useful.
I believe that this is also posted on the MW thread as well, if anyone is wondering under the Decals thread. Note: I'll find the correct thread and will post it here as well when I get back home from work.
NOOOOOO!!!! All that work for nothing?? Lol. I'd like to see if they have modernized versions of them...perhaps even with the tiny text able to be made out.
I'll have to dig something up. I found a decal-making kit a couple years ago that I used to produce thin and flexible laser-printed decals for another project I was working on. It ended up working well...but it was a pain in the ass to use. I have some other ideas...I'll let you guys know what comes of it.
After re-handling/re-transforming my DX-1J recently, I get even more irritated still on the transformation process that Bandai implemented on it. It's really not fun and very annoying. Especially the somtimes-feathertouch separating-connector. I can only hope Bandai improves it on the later DX-VF1xx's.
I decided to give the DX Vf-31 Siegfried a try and got just one. I hope this doesn't pull me in to another line. This year had so many good releases or pending releases that I would say it is the most expensive year I've ever had in terms of toys.
I'm with you. 2019 is sure expensive for toys... Lots of Transformers were bought this year and now I'm just jumping into the Macross hole again.
Getting at least one is good. The VF-31 for the most part is a pretty good looking and fun toy to handle.
The thing is, if I ended up really liking it, I might get drawn to the rest and since some of them have been released previously, prices are quite inflated.
Maybe you'll like it and maybe you won't. To me, the VF-31 is a rather very boring valkyrie. Even with your choice of colors and heads for it. It is less yawningly boring than its counterpart SV-262, however...
The Draken is an interesting design and based on the Swedish SAAB J35 plane in which Kawamori has taken inspiration from. Edit: Pic from Twitter Looks interesting, however a real pain the rear end to do the transformation. If you want a 262 Draken, then there's one at a reasonable price on Jungle (Grade B). The add-on set kicks it to another level. Which 31 have you gotten @Flapjacks? Second edit: @fschuler - It's the 1/55 Chucky Money decals that they have, not your version. From user valhary on MW Decals library thread.
31S. I'm not a fan of forward swept wings of the fighter but I'd like to try something new and overall quality feedback for it seems very positive. If I like it, I'll see if I can get the 31C next with the recently released 31E since that's still close to retail price.
Mirage's 31c is going to be a little harder to get as it's sold out on Manda, Jungle, Amiami and maybe other Japanese hobby shops. Amazon.jp is going to be on the pricey side.
I'm pretty much aware of that :/ I even considered the super pack for it and hooooo boy that's a doozie.
^^ Got mine from Amiami today too, via DHL. When I went to pay for it the system said they switched me from EMS to DHL because it was cheaper. Faster too!
