I'm not buying the VF-31 unless Bandai finally solves the problem of locking the chest + backplate together in battroid mode. I can't stand the whole shtick of relying on gravity + tightness of hinges to hold things in place.

So it's idol school vs the male version of AKB48?

I wonder whats up with the diamond looking hair extensions of the Draken boys.

I'm warming up to the 31's color scheme.

Are those under-slung gunpods on the 31? Yes please!
Also, the trailer implies some kind of split back mounted missile pod, al la vf-30 (final silhouette). Interesting.

EDIT - Also, a Hi-Metal Elint... Interesting. These things are perfect transformation, yes?

I hope the 31 is the end of that kind of chest transformation. We've been doing that transformation for way too long.

Not feeling Delta at all, going by the trailer and those character designs it looks worse then Frontier which I disliked immensely.

Anybody have any opinions on those Hi-Metal things? I've always wanted a Glaug so I'm really tempted to pick that up along with other Destroids if the quality is decent.

Well, I said I wanted to see what Bandai could do with the SDF-1....I didn't think they'd go full ****** with it. :lol

It's the 1/35 VF-1 that has my ears perked up...
For anyone who doesn't know, 1/35 is roughly the scale of Transformers Masterpiece toys. So hopefully the VF-1 will come with little pilots so I don't have to put Spike or Daniel in the cockpit.

Good thing about this new series is that it looks like we are back to dog fighting and no more vajra crap.

Since it looks to be girls vs. boys maybe all the dogfighting is a sort of 'courting' and the VFs only transform to battroid mode for copulation. :3

You stop that now! This is not Aquarion! :banghead:  :throw

Anyways.....I wake up and GOD DAMN I'm greeted to all sorts of crazy toy news. Damn it I knew Bandai was going to do the DYRL ver of the SDF-1 and not the TV version. Holy shit the size is ridiculous! Might be only a display for the show. And what what what a 1/35 VF-1? Jesus. And yes a poseable Sheryl and Ranka are very welcome and bought. Oh and yes a poseable britai that looks good? Yes please.

Yes, I was referring to 'most' MPs, being the cars, Optimus, Magnus, etc.

Yeah. I dunno about Bandai's SDF-1. It might get as loose as their Macross Quarter upon first handling or so...

Anyway, I want Muv Luv reimagined and integrated into Macross instead of that akb48-derived Delta anime!
