I have Max with Super Parts and the Low Visibility Wood Land Armor Parts. Been looking forward to opening them someday (when I find the Max).

Probably a good idea. Lovely figures.

The 1/60 V2 is an overall better designed toy with more solid construction, takes up less space and comes in a broader specrum of decos. That said, I still really love the 1/48. Every time I dig one out I marvel at the size and have a blast with all the little details that weren't included on the 1/60.

With the show, i fast forwarded to the fight scenes, didnt really dig the story.
As for the toy, the great thing about is if anyone's like the size of the 1/48 scale vf-1, the OS is about the same size. This will be my substitute for a 1/48

I'm contenplating getting 2x or just one and another 4g.. Was curious whose into the OS on tfw2005

Yeah, that makes sense and I'd agree I'd want a VF-2SS irrespective of the anime. But you sound like a more thoughtful fan. I'm curious why there is a general aversion to a toy for it, why it's been so ignored. To my mind, the lack of VF-2SS toys makes no sense given (in my opinion) the very high quality of the mechanical design. But I suppose that's a tough question to answer.

I know I talked about Macrossworld Con on twitter, but for those of you here who haven't attended this convention I would highly recommend it. It's a great time to meet fellow fans and have a fun time. No rush or overcrowded hallways here. Got to hear Mari Iijima sing live and got my shirt signed by her. The fan performances were also damn good. Please go and support this fan run convention.

i don't want to throw off the discussion or anything.. i only own one macross figure (stealth VF-1J) i bought that years ago..

so.. my question is.. what is the coolest looking figure? not which is the most classic or iconic.. but, what's the coolest? the most sleek looking..

For me the VF-4 is the sleekest looking valkyrie in fighter mode.

Yup. Mylene's valk=best valk. I'd pay VF-4 prices for a transforming one of those. (emphasis on battroid mode is a must, sculpt-wise)

Coolest and sleekist are two different things to me.

Sleekist.... I have always appreciated the VF-27 for that. Everything from the enclosed cockpit to the 'bat' wings just makes it look very futuristic and sleek to me.

Coolest, I have a few. I am a massive fan of the SV-51 design in general, in all three modes. I also have a soft spot for the YF-19.

And, its not throwing off the discussion if we are discussing Macross in the Macross thread. All are welcome.

VF-4G, very different from the others. SV-51 too.
