Preordered the Armored VF-1J at HLJ and added to my private warehouse with the VF-19 Advance to save on shipping. I can't wait to outfit my VF-1J Max or VF-1S Max with the GBP armor.
Dude, the edges on the VF-0D paint are supposed to be blurry! j/k, nice photo. Makes me eager for the VF-0S reduxe...
man i want one of those...was never able to get a 1s max (to be fair i didn't want it at the time it came out as i focused on sdfm over dyrl).
... what does the Hot Wheel cars have to do with Macross? is it for scale purpose? and that Max's VF-1J nosecone is hella yellowed! EDIT: Oh BTW, apparently there is a Hot Wheels thread: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/toyark/975717-hot-wheels-thread.html But I guess you already know that, I didn't
I think Megahouse stuff just tends to be more expensive as I remember buying my Mospeada figure and wondering why it was rather pricey
Yup for scale. 1/64 is the closest to 1/60. Valkyries and nice looking cars. The nosecone on Max's VF-1J is actually not yellow. The light in the room is making it look that way. Yeah I know about the other thread. I disagree with you and Ron because you are both wrong and it's not luck.
So I know I'm a million years late to the party but I just found out about these. Is there anyplace I can buy these Arcadia YF-19 upgrades? I'll likely get the Bandai version too but I like how Arcadia's boosters rest along the wings in their version. Uhhh... anyone know where I can still preorder one of those too? I can't believe I missed both of these. Grr....
I've been looking at the red VF-1S 1/100 scale model kit, and thinking about getting one and making a G1 Jetfire from him. My modelling skills are limited (I recently did a D-Style Optimus - did some painting, no cement/glue, picture attached). I'm guessing I'll need to spray paint the battle armour red, then add some black details. Add red details on the main figure. Add an Autobot sticker. Ignore most of the included decals. My Macross knowledge is limited - so any problems I should expect? Or anything that could prove tricky?
They were a limited event release kit. They were super expensive, around $400 for the kit and you still had to work on it. I wanted them as well but I was priced out for a kit.
If you've got a tripod you could always do a stitched panoramic shot, where you take several photos while rotating the camera between shots, and then stitch them together on the computer afterward
