Yep, do not want. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a deco more pleasing to me.
Arcadia still wins though because they are getting my money with the 0A and 0S. :)

Damn...I knew it was gonna be that color, but I was secretly hoping it'd be lighter. Oh well, it's still (finally) a 0D, so I'll still be getting mine.

I'll consider a 0A, depending on the color.

Isn't this the second time Kawamori has muddled with the colors of a zero valk? Weren't the original A's messed up (sorry, "retconned") too?

Original 0A was supposed to be brown, supposedly.

Meanwhile over at Macrossworld someone is like, "Oh I'll just salt wash it to fix the color" and everyone else is like, "Oh yeah, salt wash, totally great idea I'll do that too."

What the f*** is a salt wash? :lol

aaand too dark. its a lovely design but too dark is too dark. you can hardly see how nice the design is in this color guess it gave mea nother excuse to cancel. the sharp point bits had me worried too, although if they ever release it in another color (like perhaps the one matching the anime or low viz model) i'll probably get it. guess i'll save foe the 0A and 0S or now

Yeah, that dark blue would be nice on a YF-21 instead...

I've had decent success off of AmiAmi for several times (VF-27, VF-25F, YF-25, YF-30)...if anyone thinks they have absolutely no shot at it and would like me to try to place the pre-order with their account (you can make a new one with all the info loaded if you want), I can give it a shot. PM me if interested.

I'm hoping he's just the mecha designer for macross delta and maybe a general supervisor. Let's leave the writing and directing to someone else.

Not even the most skilled modeler at MW has actually done a salt-wash AFAIK, not many have. It's the most advanced technique there is AFAIK. And it can't be done separately---it only adds realism/difficulty/complexity to the previous "most advanced technique" for weathering model planes.

Right now I'm imagining a fan lowering their $300 VF-0 into a 5 gallon bucket of ocean water and then posting on MW: "how long do I let it soak?".
