Been out of the loop for like 4 years since Macross Frontier came out. Are they reissuing the DX Gokin ?
No, they are reissuing the *new* DX Gokins. They made new ones after the ones you're probably thinking of---they were so much better than the original VF-25's they sold out immediately. They're finally becoming available again--but just like last time, demand VASTLY out-strips supply, so they're sold-out before they're even released. The originals sucked, so they will likely never be released again.

I want mine doing the MACHIDA PUNCH!!! So battroid for me. Alto's EX can stay in fighter mode. Fully armored battroid mode is hard to pose on the stand, especially since the wings can't close fully with the missiles on. And as it happens, Machida's Nightmare Plus had no underwing armaments while he was punching the Vajra. Animation error probably, because he had them on the scene before. Show accuracy FTW! And $65 plus shipping saved on the armor set.
FYI the CF armor parts and MP-19 Smokescreen are estimated to be September releases, so I would order these from a place that also carries MPs I used Anime Export since they have good prices on MPs and can combine ship all of these.
I'm loving those armor parts, but I don't have a 171 to go with them Don't know if I should buy the parts and try for a 171 later, or avoid the parts and save money by not having to get a matching 171. Decisions, decisions...

I'm down for a group buy for the VF-171 CF Armored parts if anyone is putting one together. If not I might order from there. I already got my payment request for the VF-171 CF from NY a while back. Will probably pay for it next week as long as it's before the 24th deadline.
I had it go for a whole week once, while they supposedly were "waiting for a replacement from the manufacturer, due to packaging damage." Which I'm pretty sure meant, "while we try to find another store to buy it from first, since we never really had it in stock in the first place." They just let is stay in "preparation" with no communication until I finally emailed them 5 days into it. I have not bought from them since.....even opting to pay a good amount more for the VF-171 Armor set just to get it from retailer I had much more faith in.
Choice time; I've got a VF17S coming. I also have a VF19S and a VF19Kai, all from Yamato. Both are a tad customized [stickers on], the Kai has more stuff on it. I'm going to pick two of them [VF17 and one VF19] when I move abroad. What's left back will stay boxed for quite some time. Which VF19 would make a better sister unit to the VF17S I'll have with me? The Basara\Gamlin duo was much more prominent from episode 19-44 or so [the lifespan of the commander VF17S], and the bright red will contrast very nicely with the dark, muted VF17. The VF17S will fit more in the traditional macross sense [no face on the battroid, military model etc] and I absolutely love that blue hue. Which one would you pick?
