The local toy specialty shop here in my country has it up for preorder. It is a walk in shop which I have been ordering my stuffs like Macross, Figma, Gunpla and others for more than 10 years. I believe the shop owner ordered around 25 pre-orders and 5 pcs for walk on customers.
The VF19S I got was listed as a storefront item. Box had some wear, but the important thing to me was that the toy had never really been messed with, and i t wasn't. The sticker sheet is foil and wow that stuff does not age well! Overall, plenty happy, especially after handling it. I guess I will hold onto my DX Fire Valkyrie from back in the day too. It's the most toyetic Valkyire I have ever laid hands on but it still has it's charm and my my it is durable! I've had a hard on for the VF19S since 97 when I saw the 1/100 plamo.
WAT? Congrats Ron!!!!!!!!! Reminds me of that episode where Max and Milia bring Komilia aboard the Zentraedi factory.
Congratulations Ron! I know it's a cliche thing to say and I hated hearing it all the time when I first became a dad 5 months ago, but your life is going to change forever - in a good way. I hope your little Max or Milia lets you get as much sleep as ours does.
Best wishes Ron. WOO-HOO just got word from my supplier...DX Super Parts shipping soon. I shall post photos and a YouTube review ASAP.
Thanks, I was looking around for reasonably priced preorders since I completely missed the boat on Amiami's great price. It's also available at Playasia ($199.90): Buy The Super Dimension Fortress Macross Hybrid Pack [30th Anniversary Box] (PS3) - Play-Asia.com And CDJapan (13143JPY): Macross: Do You Remember Love ? Hybrid Pack 30th Anniversary box First press limited edition Game [Playstation 3] I ended up going with CDJapan, since the price + shipping to Singapore was about $185. Credit goes to marchcolette on Gamefaqs. Wouldn't have known that cdjapan was taking orders had he/she not told me about it.
Damn it. Damn it. DAMN IT. CDJapan sold out instantly a few weeks back, indicating they wouldn't be able to take any more orders. The same went for all the major import shops. So I opted for the only option at the time: YesAsia and their EXTREMELY inflated, borderline scalper price of $232 shipped. And now I see they have a strict "no cancellations" policy, so I'm stuck paying $50 more than I should. :sigh:
Thanks everyone for the congrats! It's been a whirlwind the past couple of days but we're starting to settle back to normality. Luckily the 171 preorder was months ago.
