It would appear to be, I was looking it up after I posted and it fits... and the question for me is that I don't remember ever having chicken pox as a child, but my kids all did, I must have caught it then but was asymptomatic I gather...

Best to go see a doctor.

I know a middle aged guy who contracted shingles. He once had a normal face. Now he's left with a large hideous scar looking like a bad tattoo / birth mark / third degree burns on one side of his face, not too dissimilar to Two-face.

Sadly it seems like it's just the way people are now, particularly online. "My way or the highway."

Been slowly crawling back into my shell in recent years. Just want to be left alone for the most part.

Seems like a flashback to the 90's. Back then I was told G1 was dead, beasts are awesome. Stop dreaming they could never make a optimus prime that transformed into a truck and look like his robot mode on the show. Munkey not Trukk!!
Honestly it was the wild west back then and conversations could get crazy.

But I will agree there are some people on the boards who seem to go out of their way to cause controversy in some threads.

Thanks guys.. went to the doctor's office today, starting a med that should help (but it's a progressive type). Too late for any anti-virals, or such things... it's crazy how getting sick with one type of flu triggered this, and it was confirmed that I could have gotten the chicken pox virus from my kids 20 years ago and never knew it and it's showing itself now.

I suffer daily from the damage done from my surgery for my cancer years ago, I get kidney stones and gallblader stone "attacks" (and trying to avoid that surgery) that are some of the most extreme level of pain and I'm used to living with more pain than the average person, but this one "new" thing is trying to compete with those... holy crap this is painful. The blisters are going away but the nerve damage pain from this which is within the full thickness of the skin and feels like a gladiator is doing his best to surprise shank me with a very large and very dull spear at any moment.

It's quite interesting I must say. :banghead:

Life I wouldn't say sucks, but I got hit with 3 pretty substantial financial difficulties. My hot water tank and my washing machine died within a week of each other, and now I'm getting hit with a big tax bill. All of this has eaten away at my savings big time, and the stress and mental anguish I've put on myself is starting to manifest physically with headaches and stomach pain. I've been trying to find ways to deal with said issues, but I guess it takes time.

Sorry to hear it, but at least you had savings... I've lived similar where appliances needed repair/replacement, car broke down and needed repairs/replacement, dentist bills in the thousands, and I ended up running a 10K credit card bill within 2 months, but all required things for life.

So if this helps, consider that you aren't going to be stuck with a debt that the monthly charges are almost half of what you're able to pay back and can take you years to get rid of it...

Did a bank load to lower the rates, so it helped a lot, but then 2 years in, it happened again.

I had to do second (reset the first) loan from my bank to just lower the interest rates and make it manageable. At least my credit is rock solid, but I'd rather get hit on my savings that taking a loan with interest.

Then a third time... this time I did something else (borrowed from family), but by then, finances were much better and repaid them within a year, and now almost done with the bank load while I do have some savings for the first time in my life.

So, try to consider this, as you can slowly rebuild your savings.. :)

You speak the truth. It sucks my savings took a big big hit, as I paid "cash" for the tank and now this huge tax bill; though I bought a new washer on my credit card. I don't, or shouldn't have to take out a loan and have to deal with that monthly payment, on top of everything else I pay a monthly basis. My fear is the "what if" something happens now. I just need to not think about that and just deal if it comes.

life does not suck. it's spring in the northern hemisphere. if the sun is not shining on you at this very moment, it is surely shining somewhere.

...says the manic depressive alcoholic whose wife has had cancer twice.... (she's fine now.)

except for healthcare costs. That sucks. Oh, and sour cream. I loathe sour cream. And people who tailgate. And people who drive slowly and force me to tailgate them.

I've struggled with debt myself. Autism/ADHD means I really have issues with impulse buying control, Transformers included. On the verge of needing help again soon.

A lot of people go blind which is why its important to get your vaccinations. There was a guy at dialysis that had it, cost him an eyeball. I have a transplant and have asked a couple of times should I get a shingles shot, even though I don't thing I ever had it or I was probably asymptomatic. My little brother caught it when he was 7, I used to let him sleep in the bed with me so it was like a full week before he finally started breaking out, up until that point I had been letting him sleep with me and sharing food and stuff with him , and strangely neither me or my sister caught it.

@Galvatron, yeah not too sure...I'm hoping it was just the blizzard stuff that jammed snow/ice all into the engine and put it on the fritz. We'll have another go using tonight's temps ;)

I would put my money on that being the issue. I had a similar problem about 20 years ago, and again about 10 years ago.
